NWP MPs defend chiefs

MMD Deputy National Chairperson Kabinga Pande
MMD Deputy National Chairperson Kabinga Pande

Eleven Members of Parliament from North Western Province have urged President Sata not to underrate the intelligence of chiefs from the area. This follows President Sata’s warning to traditional leaders in North Western province against promoting tribalism.

North Western Province Members of Parliament Chairperson, Kabinga Pande says President Sata should not underrate the intelligence of the traditional leaders by insinuating that they are being incited by politicians.

He says all the traditional leaders are asking for is a fair share of the country’s resources and this does not in any way amount to treason. Mr. Pande says the President must not use threats but rather use dialogue.

He was speaking to MUVI TV News while being franked by other MPs from North Western Province.

  1. In 1984, the then Member of the Central Committee for Northwestern Province Ludwig Sondashi, ordered the transfering of a Lozi Posts and Teelecommunications worker from the province because he could not speak Kaonde. In 1992, there was an outcry when the same Sondashi as Labour Minister appointed Dorothy Mulwila (Mrs) Director General of National Provident Fund. When approached for his reaction to the outcry, Sondashi retorted: “If I don’t appoint people from my Province, who will?”.
Thus, the tribal issue will always be with us. What is important is how we rise above it. That is if we can.

  2. Sata should start asking himself questions. What is going on? Pipo are crying, why? Why is he not listening? why is he opening his dirty mouth and causing division in the nation. Why is he quickly drawning? Stupid president. what a foolish fool!

  3. Awe am with the north-westerners on this one. Producing 20% of the country’s GDP and no representation at the highest level? Where does Chilufya think the money he will be squandering on Muchinga province will come from? This is the type of behaviour that leads to the situation you have in the Niger Delta in Nigeria.

  4. Thanks to those supporting us North-Westerners genuinely. Shame on those who want to use our grievances to push their hate agenda. To hell with political parties and parliamentarians who never did anything for us when they had the power and now want to point a finger when they themselves did nothing but plunder and loot and empower foreigners. The enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my friend. By the way, North-Western province does not have a single PF MP, so what are these MMD UPNDs doing about development in their constituencies??? Kabinga, if there is no development in Kasempa it is YOUR responsibility. You’ve been area MP even when your party was in power. What did you do for your/our people which justifies you pointing fingers?

  5. Bemba boy, your first three sentences I can support. From there you take it personal and become insulting, and I am not down with that. Let’s debate issues that will solve problems. Insult cannot. Point out the areas in which His Excellency needs to listen and attend to. Some of us are non-partisan and unbiased. If you convince us with sound reasoning we will support you as well as learn from you. We do not wish to encourage hate or become haters ourselves. It is not productive.

  6. This man has divided the country indeed. His lack of critical thinking emanates from being uneducated. He can’t logically reason. All he knows is barking like a mad dog.

  7. As a North-Westerner myself, I would like to see all tribes/villages/regions of Zambia living better, benefitting from the national cake. I don’t mind sharing my copper and uranium and diamonds with fellow Zambians as long as I also get my fair share of decent food, decent clothes, decent shelter, and decent opportunities. Some areas don’t have record mineral resources but have significant agricultural contributions. Most Lambas live in Poverty on the copperbelt which financed our economy. Solis, Lalas and Lenjes live in poverty in the Central/Lusaka provinces which provide agriculture and minerals as well as our administrative capital. Easterners live in povert despite providing agricultural inputs and semi-precious stones.

  8. Southerners live in poverty despite providing most of our maize and beef, and our tourist capital. This problem is not unique to us North-Westerners, and did not start with the PF presidency. To fight this injustice we must look further than petty politics of hate. We must indeed engage the PF government since they are now in charge, but it would be rather shallow to heap all the blame on Sata and PF. By the way, many Bembas (who seem to be targets of hate lately) also live in poverty.

  9. Tatawetu, in an intellectual debate you want to qualify your statements with reasons that back your arguments and assumptions, otherwise you are being irrelevant even if you might have a point. Insults emanate from that point where reasoning has failed.

  10. sata as a president of a nation should show impartiality in the way he handles issues. Other politicians have been known to be tribalist but what we are seeing with MCS is beyond tribalism that can culminate into anarchy if not checked. Do not take NWesteners for granted. Still/cool water runs deep. wars of nowadays, numbers do not count. Sata should listen to grievances to be tabled by the chiefs. This is timely advice.

  11. Ilola, I agree with you totally, I can only add that we should be careful who we work with in this agenda. Not all politicians who are using our plight are necessarily doing it for us.

  12. North.Western Power
Are you the new PF implant in Berlin? Is Ambassador Chizinga still there? He is for groove and liberal.

  13. Go Go Hon. Kabinga Pande i never supported you nor MMD but now i do because am very much DISAPPOINTED with Sata, Kabimba and The Post’s Editor Mmembe double standards and LIES!

Go Go North Western Chiefs and exercise your Zambian Human Rights by expressing your DISPLEASURE against this DICTATOR Sata and his PF!

I now understand why Freddie Mmembe came back in the 1990?s because he is a Roman Catholic trained Jesuit who came to unfairly criticize Chiluba because he was a Born Again Christian.

Sata has done more SCANDALS and CORRUPT appointments but The Post is so silent on all these they are even TWISTING reporting especially in North Western Province.

Twisting of reporting wont work nor intimidation of political opponents like Kabinga Pande wont work!

    God bless Zambia!

  14. 13 Shaka OZ
The Post’s hypocrisy is becoming so alarming.Just another day had a headline: Musokotwane insults Sata….but when on reads the article the oppsite is true.SM was just strong in his language cos he was upset how the whole alot of the President can sink so low as to say there was fake money in circulation. To the Post, this is an insult.Today, they are calling Northwestern chiefs tribalist. In criminal psychology, a thief is the one who accuse the other of being a thief. The Post accused RB of Tribalism,HH the same with their infamous ‘Bantustan’ and now the NW chiefs but have never done that to Sata.People will judge who tribalists are.I thin RB was right by saying The Post is upside down.

  15. Have you noticed how most Zambians say the word ‘issues’ a lot? Is this due to limited vocaburary resultant from limited education ot what? Awe sure, muleke ku sebanya Queen of England, post in you vernacular if the kashobo is eluding you, ba mambala mwanya manje!

  16. #14 Sharp Shooter,

This is very very disappointing really especially for us Zambians who supported Sata and PF and the Post Newspaper reporting!

Just as Mmembe and The Post Newspaper has written/said before,”that TRUTH has legs it can stand the test of time but LIES do not have legs they can not stand the test of time.”

These LIES and twisting of reports coming from The Post and Mmembe including Sata wont stand the test of time soon people will realise all their LIES and UNFAIRNESS of favoring Sata and his PF govt. Surely people will stop buying the Post Newspaper and hearing Mmembe as they did to the Public media during MMD.

Am one Student of the School of Thoughts of The Post and Mmembe but SURELY i can not support nor stomach these coming from Sata and The Post/Mmembe!

  17. @CHIZINGA ADMIRER # 12… I am not a PF implant, and I am not in Germany. For some reason I do get these flag mix-ups. Sometimes it gives me a US flag. My point is not necessarily to support PF or Sata, but rather to point out that some of the critics have themselves proven failures when they had/have office. Pointing out Sata’s wrongs does not make them right. In other words, those who seek genuine change should be careful of those who join the ranks just because they have a common enemy, yet they may infact have a sinister agenda themselves. Sata has had 2 months. Kabinga Pande has had years in which he could have made even a slight difference in Kasempa, and MMD had 20 years, Rupiah Banda 3. The mines in Solwezi do not translate into better lives for the Kaondes, hence the grievances.

  18. It is also questionable to take pride in introducing the mines as developing NWP, since the mission there is to exploit resources, not necessarily to build infra-structure which helps the people without the motive of profits. For now, I am ready to see what Sata and PF will do before i judge them harshly, and judge them very harshly I will if they also continue the same trend as their predecessors. Mugabe used a good argument, of empowering black people with land, to push a sinister agenda. These people crying now, the cause may be a genuine one, but there is also the danger that some of them might be using a genuine cause to push a sinister agenda. As MPs it is their duty to push development in their constituencies. What have they done about that before they point fingers at others…

  19. As for Ambassador Chizinga, I dont know if he is still there. I tried to check their website but it seems to be under construction. I have heard of the man’s groove, though ;)

  20. Camon all of us are Human beings. How do you explain a whole province without representation. You had the opportunity to see how election were moving. You decided not to vote for the change and now you cry. live with it.

  21. It looks like all mmd, upnd sympathisers and all spineless politicians are now yapping day in day out, why? Have they found a soft spot on President Sata? Sata was elected by the people with clear mandate to steer the affairs of Zambia for next five years. Its surprising how every jim and jack have suddenly started to talk, when in the past have always been kumatako to borrow late president Mwanawasa’s adage. Mr. Sata get tough so that they know you are the president. It’s getting worse everyday being insulted.Remember you were once taken to task by Levy for what he termed insulting the president. Sir get tough balabelesha sana some can’t still believe you are president of Zambia. Infact Chimbokaila is quite empty.

  22. Drama in real time, playing towards the innevitable climax. Barotseland, Bantustan 4 Life (B4F)and now NWP. Aim I hearing silently loud rumblings of the cousins in the east with their umodzi kumawa uniting cry? Zambia is coming apart at the foundation. All the king’s men could not put Dumpty Humpty back together again.

  23. What representation are they talking about? Their voting pattern and the things most of them have been saying for a long time show clearly that they dislike Sata and didn’t want anything to do with him. Their chiefs too were anti-Sata so what is the fuss all about?

  24. NWP, what do you want Sata to do for you? You voted RB so go cry to him for representation. kavindele went round with RB campaigned against Sata now you see, you got it wrong, so live with it and next time vote wisely. Leave Sata alone. He has right not to appoint anyone from that province as you clearly didnt want to give him people to represent you, you gave them to RB and HH, so leave our sata alone!!! Next time, vote wisely!!!! ha ha ha ha. This 5 years will be long for those who hate MCS.

  25. @ MR DON’T KUBAMBILA: One cannot say that people should be denied services because they voted otherwise. Secondly, you win people to your side by showing them tolerance. I agree that for those who hate Sata it will indeed be a long 5 years. I see them boiling inside, especially if he does good things that they cannot criticize. Anyway, we’re trying to build one country, so I think we should all work together, and with the government of the day, to address matters of common interest, less hate and insults, and more dialogue.

  26. If Sata had not started threatening the chiefs, this issue would have assumed a different dynamic.

The chiefs have every right to complain, irrespective of who voted for who in their province. No one should threaten them.

The problems of the Niger Delta and the Ogoni people in Nigeria can easily manifest themselves in Zambia where leaders start inventing provinces while they ignore development of the areas where the resources to finance those new provinces are gona come from!

  27. 25: North-Western Power: Everyone lives on povery in Zambia, regardless of the province the live. I totally agree with 24: Mr Don’t Kubambila; Cabinet is made from MPs; In Western province they voted on cousin ship with HH; which is acceptable; but then the UPND lost. They have failed to accept their loss due to their poor strategy – yet they say they are educated. A Kaponta president wins when the educated cannot even use strategic management to help them. Now, they are busy crying. If chiefs had found a diplomatic way of getting to the president; and giving the president a candindate ot candidates they can work with, Sata would have been very pleased to work with them. Imagine, appointing an MMD or UPND to a cabinet position; what happens mailo? You poarched ours!!

  28. Lack of representation does not amount to being denied development; we know that North west is getting new town, new facilities; to support the mining industry. There are big plans for north west zambia that the whole world is talking about; yet look at the talk from the so called MPs from MMD and UPND.
    Zambia is a country of people that talk and talk, and keep talking. Sata is even better because he is trying by all means to abide by the law. If it was me, all these MMD chaps would have been in Chimbokaila explaining how they have raped the country’s resources. If they continue with this aproach, I can see them voting themselves to no presidency at all; we will get Professor Chirwa to be our next PF president;

  29. I wish the PF website was working because we used to give them good data and we could see president sata following some of the things we suggested. It was so effective. Please PF; give us our website back we can write to the president freely the way we used to. He doesnt have to be responding to all these; especially the watchdog; If the president can just ignore their rants. Let him read what they say, and just take it as it is and ignore them. Bakanaka!! We waited for 15years for MMD to go; they can wait for 20years if we can do a good job of rulling. Kateka, “Deeds not words”; Just perform shikulu; get the best think-tanks about things; we can help freely to put strategies to shame ba kolwe.

  30. Kabinda wa Kabwa

The mining companies are gona build settlements ( which you can call towns) for their employees and supporting industries. Private individuals like Kavindele plan to build a rail line to connect the province. What is the government investing in the province from the enormous taxes they derive from that province?

  31. THERE SEEMS TO BE A SPIRIT OF INFERIORITY IN NORTH WEST. YOU SHALL BE AWARDED ACCORDING TO YOUR PERFORMANCE. YOU VOTED FOR THE OPPOSITION, SO LIVE WITH IT. WHY CRY FOR JOBS WHERE YOU DID NOT SOW

  32. I think President Sata has divided this country because of his love tribalism and nepotism. Zambia needs progressive and morden president.

  33. I think President Sata has divided this country because of his love for tribalism and nepotism. Zambia needs progressive and modern president.

  34. PEOPLE SHOULD BE LEVEL MINDED OVER SUCH SENSITSIVE MATTERS. tO START WITH, PEOPLE OF NW, INCLUDING CHIEFS, NEVER LIKED SATA AND THE PF. INFACT, PF HAS VERY FEW PEOPLE IN ITS RANKS WHO COME FROM NW. DO YOU EXPECT THE PRESIDENT TO MANUFACTURE PEOPLE TO WORK WITH? NW PATRIOTS (ESPECIALLY CHIEFS) SHOULD FIRSTLY APOLOGISE FOR ALL THE ANIMOSITY THEY HAVE HAD AGAINST THE PRESIDENT AND THEN PLEDGE TO WORK WITH HIM. IT SHOULD NOT BE ONE SIDED. THAT NOT WITHSTANDING, THE PRESIDENT SHOULD ALSO EXPRESSLY ASSURE THE NW PEOPLE OF HIS COMMITMENT TO SERVE HIM. BUT ALL OF US ZAMBIANS, SHOULD IN STRONGEST TERMS CONDEMN THE SO CALLED MUSHALAS.

  35. #30: Arrested Development: How the government uses taxes is not my expertise. As a tax payer, my job is to pay tax even if am no in Zambia, I pay a lot of taxes to the Zambian government. I dont ask them to take development to my vilage because i pay taxes. To answer your question: when mines go there to do their business; they will attract other private investors, who will create other jobs as is the case wih the copperbelt. So government at the moment is facilitating that, negotiating with the multinational firms to do that; when they start operating, government will have no option but to build more colleges there, schools, a university, all in support of the industry, as is the case with CBU, trades schools.

  36. If indeed the chiefs want “royalties” as is the case with Royal Mofokeng (sp) in SA where they control Platnum rights, they could have negotiated for that with government. My friend, I am Lunda, and I hate to see people use tribe when its in their own interest to manipulate things. Truth: they supported a loosing team; time to negotiate is here, not time to threaten because of mineral wealth. Its a risky strategy that will scare FDI; and we will all lose-out. Katanga has been stabilising because of the mineral wealth; they will go to Katumbi and if he can protect them business continues. These things take 20 – 30 years; Kavindele didnt help; MMD didnt help so chill lads!!

  37. We just had elections last Sept., no one castigated the thieving mmd. Here comes PF barely 60 days in office we have seen alot of people talking this and that why? Remember only PF is the legitimate government at the moment. Wait for 2016 when we will have another election, hope you win so that you can advance your agendas. Has of now it’s PF government and its policies we all have to respect the law. Most of you pretend to be very, very educated than any normal humanbeing in this world has ever seen. Yet you talk rubbish and nonsense and lack basic wisdom which Sata has. This explains why Sata is president of zambia today. If you want to behave like Zambia has no legitimate elected government soon, some of you will be at mukobeko maximum prison for being too foolish and failure

  38. “Chairperson of North Western Province Members of Parliament” , What is this? Is this not the first step in institutionalising tribalism and regionalism? Please let’s all understand that the essence of has Provinces in just to enable effective public administration in smaller facets of one national government with one developmental agenda, and not to promote tribal groupings in parliament. Please abolish this position if it really exists, because Zambia is run on a unitary government system.

  39. to recognise an elected party and it’s government. You will soon regret your foolishness and stupudity. Respect President Sata for a simple reason and that is, he is the the only person the zambian people elected to lead them for the next five years. Whether educated or not as some you want to portray him.Where were you, the very, very educated when zambians went to electct him, of which some of you even participated and lost to the person you say is not educated? Are you telling us that 13million zambians are so duft to have electedd him? Don’t push Sata too much that he will end up putting you in prison. Take a leaf from his patience. How many years has it taken him to be president? These things go with time, short cuts will lead you in very serious problems. Let a a sleeping dog lay.

  40. #37 and 40: Kapoma kabaso; your name should change to “chipoma” because what you have said is exactly what these people need to read. Ba some of us; weldone, couldnt have said any better.

  41. @28 Kibinda wa Kabwa. You are a very shallow person. The people who voted for UPND in Western Province did not do so on the basis of cousinship. May be that is how you vote in your province. In Western Province we vote on the basis of the quality of the candidates on offer. That is why today Western Province is the only province where 4 political parties have seats. ADD 1; PF 2; UPND 3; MMD 11. So my dear Kibinda Wa Kabwa go to hell with your half baked and shallow analysis. We have a mature electorate in Western Province. We are not simpletons like you!

  42. Watch this space, Sata is slowly but surely loosing grip, I pitty the folks who voted for this President, but let time tell. Its only in Zambia where you get half cast like GL who are out spoken , not even alon the foreigner in the name of GS as VP.

    Time will tell

  43. As a luvale i do wonder why our Chiefs are used by politicians to an extent of being paraded to issue statements. This i observed during the Sept 20 elections wen mmd used them in the same maner hence after it they sim 2 b lost & frustrated. Our Luvale-Lunda fracases are mostly caused by the same pipo Hon Konga & Saifwanda know this.We like inviting politicians in our internal matters hence our failures.HH & MMD shud not easily 4get the mfumbwe bye-election blood shed which they caused. Wake up our chiefs frm being used by the same wolves. In Angola, the least organised province is Moxico mostly occupied by the same us N/westerners of Zambia bcoz of this same weakness.Even Chief Ndungu admitted this during his visit 2 Angola on Radio Ngola Yetu coz we sim 2 ve similar issues due 2 greedness.

  44. #44:Francine: Unfortunately am talking your calling “shallow” is not only an insult but extremely sad. #28: I commented on North Western province, you are talking about “Western Province”; when you read my comments again, you will realise that its very unkind of you to call me shallow? Worse, my right to comments cannot be used to judge how shallow or clever, pink or blue, I am. I will not hit back, i will keep my being shallow to myself. Godbless you.

  45. As Zambian let us maintain the love peace dignity we have always have been known for regardless of which province or tribe we are coming from.We as Zambians have never had civil war in this country and dont know what it takes see from our friends in Congo do we want the whites to come back and tell now us how to live in harmony NO WE ARE ABOVE THAT .We mighty have our differences but let us not compare what we are experiencing to Nigeria or Angola we are one Zambia one Nation blessed with the declaration of a Christian Nation being LEAD by Christian princicples LET US ALL GO TO CHRIST for GUIDANCE and not run away from OUR GOD.VIVA ZAMBIA FOR PEACE

  46. #44:Francine: Maturity in analysis would entail, at first, to analyse that which a person is talking about; not analysing that which is not the subject of the matter. Now am going to hell with my shallow analysis knowing too well that paralysis by analysis is what in fact has hit you.

  47. strange pipo indeed, when sata says a developmental plan u say thats MMD program, budget u say that MMD ,when he warns chiefs if the wrongs they are doing ,u say we want our share, start your cry from kabinga pande, what did he do for u?how did u vote to have somebody appointed in cabinet without u acusing sata of weakening the opposition.u chiefs present ur concerns to the presido because ur mps u voted are sleeping.complaints will not take us anywhere.

  48. northwestern power you an impositor. You are not from the NWP but a new PF vuvuzela.Your arguments are shit.
What our Chiefs and all the 11 MPs are doing is indeed supported by all well meaning Northwesterners.we shall never take kindly any persons or even the one who occupies state house today to insult our leaders.we are watching and watching very carefully, remember 2016 is not far.Since independence,2011 has seen the most tribal remarks ever.we were insulted before when the PF were in the oppsition and they continue to do so.Vaka chinyama hanga vayoya with or without your support

  49. Kabinga Pande should be the last person to even talk. 100 days ago he was in the group of MMD telling the nation how much development RB had brought in 3 years and the people of NWP voted for MMD. But today alas! there is no development, lets be serious with development issues and not behave like; “it’s development when my pocket is full and it’s tribalism when am not connected to State House”

The Chiefs must engage the PF Government and table issues on development not only to benefit themselves but their subjects.

  50. I dont support the so-called NWP Chiefs. In the past two years people of other tribes have suffered getting jobs from the mines simply becuase they cant speak Kaonde, Lunda or even he/she doesnt have a mwisho who can assist.. if u are a bemba u will not get a job in Kansashi, Lumwana and now Kalumbila. this is what the president has been talking about. too much tribalism. Why should i be a kaonde to get a job at Kansashi? Why Should i be a Lunda to get a Job at Kalumbila? this is rubbish and total rubbish…the President is very right…chiefs of NWP have now become HRs busy making people to cultivate their fields before they can be put on the so called data base register…. i have seen this with my own eyes at Kalumbila and Lumwana……this is rubbish….total rubbish

  51. Sata’s hate for North-Westerners has not started today, no! He has never even hidden it, no! He has always said it openly that North-Western is not Zambia and there are no people but a zoo and he will cage it and second it to Angola. So it is not a suprise to me today to hear what he is saying concerning North-Western province while its riches are ever being taken away to develop unproductive provinces of Zambia. They always talk ill of leaders and people in general from North-Western province. They have never respected our leaders from there, we hear them even at embassies outside Zambia.Wake up North-Western and defend your rights of fare share of the nation cake.Never backup! Enough is enough!! In politics, religion, education, employment, its always North-Western which cries, why?

  52. Vaka Chinyama: # 55 What do you mean? Do you mean kubembwa like being a dog? If that is what you mean then I pity you. Ngukapwe kawa, kaha yove ukanyama muka? If I am a dog and you and I are the same species, what does that make you? Lets reason with ideas, not name calling. Just say what it is about what I say which you dont agree with, or forever hold your peace. I will not sink to your insulting level. I am not even offended. I am just filled with pity. When you say something relevant I will listen to you. When you insult, I will just ignore you. I have lived long enough on this planet not to get headaches over such trivial things as insults.

  53. KIBINDA WA BA KABWA: #29… If you read my earlier posts, i.e #8 and #9 you might find that we are saying the same thing, you and I. I did say that these problems are not unique to NWP and did not start with PF. In post 29 I only disagree with DONT KUBAMBILA on the point that the fact that those people did not vote for PF does not mean that they should be denied services. Otherwise, in all, I do agree with what you are saying, and what DONT KUBAMBILA is saying. Please read everything I have posted just for clarity’s sake. I said also that my argument here was not so much to support Sata but more to say that these Pandes and others do not qualify to make such statements. Please read 5, 6, 8 and 9. Let’s debate peacefully mwanta wami. I’m with you.

  54. When I say my argument here is not to support Sata, i did not mean I dont support Sata. I was just defining the premise of my argument.

  55. i meant dont kubembwa., if the chiefs, our elders and the chiefs are not the right people to speak on our behalf then i wonder who will speak,.northwestern power you have detached yourself from your province if indeed you come from there which i doubt. the predident nominated 10 MPs instead of 8, from which provinces did they come from?Find out who demostrated against the few northwesters holding senior positions in the civil service? the youths from outside the province were used,i think i should come back to zambia and fight this injustice.Vaka Chinyama Hanga Vayoya

  56. i meant dont kubembwa., if the chiefs, our elders and the MPs are not the right people to speak on our behalf then i wonder who will speak,.northwestern power you have detached yourself from your province if indeed you come from there which i doubt. the predident nominated 10 MPs instead of 8, from which provinces did they come from?Find out who demostrated against the few northwesters holding senior positions in the civil service? the youths from outside the province were used,i think i should come back to zambia and fight this injustice.Vaka Chinyama Hanga Vayoya

  57. @ VAKACHINYAMA: Sir/madam, just because we might disagree does not mean we can not reach a common understanding after sharing views, and even if we differed, it does not qualify you to say I am not from the Northwest. Yami mwata ngu kalombo kaluheta ahetele vanene, vanene kavamuhete, cheleka chakamwengo. The chiefs are of course the custodians of our traditional values and our land. There is nowhere where I have said anything about any chief. I am challenging the MPs. They say there is no development in NWP, so they themselves the MPs, what did they do then? Are they not the ones, especially chaps like Pande who were even under the sponsorship of the then ruling party, who should have brought about this development? They failed in 5, 10, 20 years and now they are yapping?

  58. Chiku mwata. these are the same chaps who misled our traditional rulers. We want development, yes, but we have to be careful who is among us as some of these chaps yapping are part of the problem. Chijila mwata ukanehe kasautu kakwamba ngwove kangwechi ngukaluvale koko. Its normal to differ in opinions, and through friendly dialogue we reach a common understanding. No one has the monopoly of truth, and even within the same ethnicity there are diverse opinions. Ngunakuhane kalemesa mwata Chinyama Samahongo, Nayove nawa nguhaneko kalemesa, echi chihande tuchihanjike kanawa mangana tuyenga nacho kulutwe.

  59. the time for us the north westerners to speak for what belongs to us is now.The only President who cared for us is Mwanawasa but still non of the two Chiluba and Banda insulted us as it has happened in the regime of Mr.Sata,He called us buttocks and his fake and cadre Minister of Foreign Affairs in Luanshya called us names and he said the minority over reacts to simple name calling/.Northwestern Power,,u are my kinsman be able to speak louder and be heard dont blame Hon.Pande, please offer solutons .nayami mwata nguli KALUVALE NGUNEVU kanawa kanawa kuhanjika chobe nayami nangukuhane kalemesa

  60. Hon.Kabinga and other NWP MPs keep it up.Milupi also has added a voice to that.Himself Mr.Sata is a tribalist going by the type of Gornment he has put in place. When You aspire for a Higher office, not all will like you but at the end if you win, they all become your People.Am urging all traditional chiefs to stand up and support their fellow chiefsin this matter,as much as we appreciete what Sata has done for the chiefs in form of Salaries or what ever it is called.Sata despite being Republican President is a Subject to all Chiefs. He should imagin he was One to and his subject speaks evil about him.So Mr.President hold your fire and remember you’re President for all Zambians and Northwestern is contributing a lot to your Gvt.Lets respect each other.
