Vice President Guy Scott says politicians bent on practicing tribal and racial politics are wasting their time.
Dr. Scott says Zambians have risen above tribal groupings and racial segregation.
He says despite having cultural diversity, Zambia is a united nation.
Dr. Scott was speaking last night during the Fundraising Dinner Dance for Mutomboko Ceremony.
At the same function Mutomboko Traditional Ceremony Chairperson Criticles Mwansa says the fundraising dinner dance was part of the preparations for of the Mutomboko Ceremony.
The Mutomboko Ceremony is the annual traditional ceremony that signifies the victorious migration of the Lunda people from Kola in the Democratic Republic of Congo to the present day, Luapula Province.

It’s true, let them try tribal division in their desperation, but God willing they are wasting their time
ILI SHINA ‘TESTICLE’ LYAKWISA NALYENA?
Your party pf is the most tribal. The previous govts had a heart for other tribes unlike yours.. Kaya!
yes because you have no tribe- nkumba no plan.
Scot, try saying that to the tongas. Its like telling them to stop keeping cows… do you think they will listen to you?
Tribalism is very much part of their DNA make up. You take it away from them, there will be no tonga tribe.
Just look at the composition of UPND
*****, you must be a teenager if not then you must have been abused by your father when you where young. you have issues, bastard!!!!
You have been made a ceremonial vp because of not belonging to any tribe.
Mr.Scott tell your master who is the master tribilists. The whole cabinet is full of one tribe and he campaigned on tribal lines.
You are very corrent.Start with your part.First remove the log in your eye before removing a small pick from other persons eye.
The most tribilists is your part and its master.

Tribe is terrible, whichever way you think about it. Tribe is terrible. That is why Sata and PF must listen to people. They are not criticising because they hate PF or Sata necessarily, they are criticising because they want to see their President act like a NATIONAL president. Good luck to everybody. Unfortunately in Zambia, common citizens act like real Zambians, but political leaders act like constipated monkeys who can’t see anything outside their tribes and families.
Banyandule ba Tonga ndibopusa maningi. Sibazaiona Presidency yamene bafuna at all costs. if their ichilema won the election, no other tribe would have seen anything including bukaboyi. Twanaka nabeve sha
try telling that to your boss first ba chola boy naimwe
mutomboko ceremony,oh i miss it.mwansabombwe (kazembe) my home village.grown up from there.hope to go there some day in the future.stay live my people.miss you big time
Does this chola boy Guy Scott, understand what he is talking about? Isn`t it his boss Sata at the centre of driving tribalism in Zambian?
Zambians be proud of where you come from! Ba VP your tribe is a long way across the big water, what right do you have to tell me about tribilism. remember the swine fever scam you made up?
Scott is behaving like a frog in a cold pot water just placed on a red hot stove plate. He wholly oblivious to his state of cooking. Their has never ever been a time a president in Zambia has unleashed such vernomous policies most injurious to the fabric of Zambia as one people in one nation. Sata has pushed us to a breaking point with his tribalism, only the ‘stupidest’ *****s will fail to see the abyss we are headed for! Tuli munshiku shakwa Noah, sonner or later ni lwanya bebele mu Zambia.
Born a lunda of Mwata Kazembe, am proud of my roots and my village. This ceremony I think we need to make it big, introduce some free bees and other tradition activities. When I come home I will talk to my cousin Mwata Kazembe about it. Long live the Motomboko ceremony. The Tongas also should start their Mabisi celemony. Â
I’m so glad my heritage cuts accross tribal lines. The strong anti Bemba and anti Tonga drivel we read here everyday goes to show how much tribal zambia has become. Its sad because we have the benefit of how ugly tribalism can be from our east african brothers yet we chose to close our eyes.Zambia is not immune from tribal infernos that have scarred out east african neighbours and Sata’s govt needs to reflect the true picture of zambia’s composition.
Chola-Boy Nkumba has no idea what he’s commenting on. What does he know about tribalism? His boss is busy trying to create a Rwanda ’94 situation here and Mr Bones is busy runing around screaming ‘MY PRINCE! NKOSI!!! YOU ARE ALWAYS CORRECT!”
what tribe is cott..?some kolwestan form mpika too..?hahahaha..no wonder..
mwata kazembe a disappointed MMD cadre this time it would have mwansa maluba areal mwansabombwe resident not testacles mwansa next time stop being partisan and don t have gradge over your people you lead whats long with maluba avery humble young man a future leader.
HH is in charge of tribalism. If that is not correct one of you Tonga chola boys please draw a color coded diagram to prove how many Bembas are in parliament, and show how many Bembas and other tribes are in UPND. Ma useless
The problem in Zambia is with people whose parents come from the same tribe, such people are the tribalists, not just in Zambia but the world over because one is brought up with biased views of other people or other tribes.
We people with dual tribal heritage (parents from different tribes) are the glues of Zambia, we hold the country together and future leaders of Zambia will be cut from this cloth!
Zambia is one of the few African countries that is united acrss tribal lines, and Zambians have intermarried across tribal lines long before independence and after independence, love or hate him, Kaundas’ “One Zambia, one Nation” worked wonders. It’s just sad now to be reading stuff like this about certain tribes from a people that is suppossed to be progressive! The beauty of democracy is that if you feel Satas’ govt is tribalism, you can vote them out. But then it looks like it does not matter who is in power they will always be accused of tribalism. One other thing is the tendency to generalise about people. “Tongas are this, bembas’ are that.” Have you met a tongas or lozis’ or any other Zambian tribe to just bundle them up in one basket? Please love all.
