Gender Minister Inonge Wina has said that the recent attacks on women by some political leaders only shows that there is a leadership vacuum in the country.

Ms. Wina said that the attacks launched by some political leaders which has also trickled down to their youth followers is unfortunate and shows the low level of upbringing.

Speaking to QFM, Ms. Wina said that political leaders should always realize that leadership is not just made up of men alone but also women hence the need to respect the role that women play in providing leadership to the nation.

She said that if the current leadership being exhibited by youths is not controlled, she fears that there will be no hope for the country.

Ms. Wina said that it should be realized that gender based violence is not only based on violent acts but also the use of bad language against women.

  1. Inonge# Right! can you start with your Boss at State House. He has no respect for women and happens to be using the youth to create so much unnecessary tension in the nation.

  2. Blah blah blah, maybe you should consider going back to NGOCC old lady, benefiting from your late husbands hardwork(Arthur Wina) mhsrip.

  3. Didn’t Sata denigrate Maureen and refer her to alangizi when she and the nation was mourning our late president? …and what advice did you give to him?

  4. You you you mrs wina try to talk about Balotse brothers who were denied there constitutional right to bail having been charged of a bailable case or cases.stop this nonsense to simply please your boss.

  5. this women gender thing is spilling in our homes…we will start wacking them…..a woman should give all the biblical respect to the man but alas…women want to take over…try it with me and you will surely regret….the likes of mushota,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    • Uli cipuba. Just because the neighbour baleyinyelawila then even you will nyelawila yourself, ati kaili moneni na ba neighbour baleyinyelawila so na ine..

  6. This gender thing get to me sometimes because it is grossly abused. When Nawabwi insults there is no gender, when HH replies women go to hell and back shouting gender gender. As early as the 70’s I was brought in a home where there no gender specific roles. as boys we cooked and washed plates and sisters were involved in outside chores. So for me gender is simply that others are women and others are men but to use to shield wrong doing by women is wrong. Let all women first advise Nawakwi properly before they can advise men to respect women who do not respect themselves. There is a whole forest in Nawakwi eyes to the extent that she can not even been seen but women have conveniently not seen the forest

  7. It seems there is a misconception or is it my misunderstanding of the word gender? It seems that in Zambia the word gender has become synonymous with women only. Gender is such a broad phenomenon that encompasses both sexes; it also includes transgenders and all those that come in between. It is my contention that when discussing gender, it MUST not only about women rights, though I understand that women tend to be the main victims of gender violence. Notwithstanding this there is a trend of women inflicting just as much violence against their male counterparts. This debate of gender violence must be debated in a fair and level headed approach rather than this lopsided view.

Wina should embark on formulating forward looking gender policies rather than cry foul.

  8. Wina has failed in her village now she wants to divert attention to an issue which is long closed. She would not open her mouth to advise her boss who is worse than some people she is talking about. Shame on you mama mwasila for joining the wrong camp for politics of the stomach.

  9. aka akakote nako,is it not the same one who visted her consituency, thought she will talk about what she found there and give some solutions alas she is talkking about something else…just retire naukota before we abuse you

  10. This stupid good for nothing woman who has bent her back to almost breaking it just because she wanted to be a Minister has always lived under the shells of the powerful Wina dynasty. Her boss at Plot One used her to win the votes from the Lozis and hoodwinked to be saying wrong things about others. You stupid ***** just stay and enjoy the gravy train offered to you. You stupid traitor.

  11. # Naiwe ukakota (u will also grow old) if you lucky. The quality of contribution by most bloggers is so childish that it is impossible to engage in meaniful interations. No wonder the likes of Senior Citizen, MMD Chiefbootlicker, R Mumba snr and other serious contributors are rare

    • These were sponsored bloggers and now the coffers are empty hence their disappearance. Ever remember Hamizaye??????? a very staunch blogger those days now non existence.

  12. I do not buy this crap from Mrs. Wina. Bo Mrs. Wina namifa likute kono mukuze fela tuuuuu. You and your fellow women must understand that everybody is teated equally on the political battle field so is woman politician insults a fellow male politician she should expect to be bruised too. It is stupid to run to Gender after you start the insults as women. Your statement should condem women who insult like Nawakwi and Masebo. Do not exoect men to caress you in the battle for power.

  13. You are right Zambia has a leadership vacuum, what with people like you at the head of a Ministry we surely have run out of leaders!

  14. mum u have really grown old,why can’t u sit down with ur young sis nawakwi and help on how to conduct herself,go even further by advising to stop going out with married men,

  15. Won’t she be fired by Ukwa? because her observation seems to be correct when you look at the type of mediocrity we got ourselves for a head of state.
    What a sorry country!

  16. Madam Inonge Wina is a sell-out who mortgaged the aspiration of the people of Western Province to Sata and his PF clique. Late Arthur Wina must be turning in his grave for hia wife’a betrayal of the Lozi people. The best Inonge can do is to shut up her …….!!!!.
