  1. This is a good move if these TV stations will be not be used for politics but to enhence freedom of speach of the citizens.

  2. He now looks shine and health. How will these TV stations run? Are the also going to PF worshippers as the 3 daily newspapers? Is it another strategy to propagate their propagandas to the villages? Otherwise I do not see this party come up with something that is not to their benefits. These are people that are stopping others from campaigning when the same fools started campaigning two weeks after losing the previous elections before the won this one.

In my view it is a waste of resources. TV studios are not a necessity for now. Use that money to do roads in those provinces. These people should try to use what is left of their tired brains. How can a normal person support this as a good move? A normal person would choose a road to a TV station as Chief Monze chose a maize seed to a gun.

    • may be they should have started with Kasama, people like you, will never see anything good, so long it comes from PF. sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. What NWP & other provinces need is autonomy to rule themselves rather than all decisions even for a simple tv station being decided from Lusaka.  Federal type of system is what is needed in Zambia if real development is to be attained. South Africa and Nigeria have this type of system. Why are we afraid of it on Zambia? Wake up NWP, SP and WP etc.

    • Sorry Giorgio but is it working in the countries you are talking about? South Africa which is a very rich country wants to revert to centralised governance because they have found they are paying too much for ministries which have their portfolios duplicated in provincial govts

  4. It means more jobs and more money in the pockets, this is autonomy, people from Solwezi or other provinces need not come to Lusaka or C/belt to become broadcasters. This is very progressive.

  5. The so called provincial tv stations will only serve as a useless conduit to push the political agenda of the pf.The pf should encourage the private sector to take up such tv space. What a waste of valuable resources.

  6. Show them how set about developing Zed, we need communication to our rural areas boosted in all forms, TV,IT, ROADNETWORK, RAILWAYLINES, AIR LINE……………………….etc, THE AIM FOR PF SHOULD BE, NOT TO WASTE RESOURCES ON CAMPGAINS COME 2016, BECAUSE THE DEVELOPMENT WORKS IN ALL PROVINCES WILL BE THERE FOR ALL TO SEE, ZAMBIANS ARE TIRED OF POLITICIANS WANTING TO BE VOTED BACK INTO POWER TO COMPLETE PROJECTS WICH NO ONE SEES EXCEPT THEMSELVES.

  7. Its ia wel come move, but how is going to watch the same programme when 98% of the Province has no access to electricity?
I thick this is a misplaced project, the current infrastrature in terms of Power, roads and other servises which support televiosion are not readily availble.May i know the radius of the same tv chanels.

Provide electricity first and then TV latter.
I think it is time we held elections for the Council of Elders in the Province aas the current membership is politically compromised and no longer represeting the wishes and demands of the people of North-Western.
    Abash Council of Elders.

  8. Can someone tell me whether Solwezi is developing in a civilised manner? The last time I was there it was a one street town with structures being built around this street in a haphazard manner. I didn’t see a single park and the roads were not up to standards. I found one of the shops shoprite I think had caught fire. They were waiting for a fire engine to come. From Chingola!
