The Anti-Corruption Commission has revealed that its officers have launched investigations into corruption allegations leveled against PF Ministers Wynter Kabimba and Geoffrey Mwamba.
Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba and his Defence counterpart Geoffrey Mwamba has been caught in a web of corruption allegations over energy and ZESCO deals.
Mr. Mwamba is accused of corruptly soliciting a contract to supply electricity poles to ZESCO while Mr. Kabimba is said to have received kickbacks for facilitating the awarding of an oil supply contract to Trafigura.
And ACC Spokesman Timothy Moono confirmed that that the Commission is investigating the two Ministers.
“Yes we are on that case, our officers have received official complains of corruption involving the two Ministers and the nation will be kept informed of the outcome of the investigations,” Mr. Moono told Journalists at a quarterly briefing today.

I suspect there was no objectivity in it. It was a sexed -up report to facilitate these same kickbacks. When a person takes excessively tough stance on certain matters or even life in general, do not fall prey to `halo effect`. Take a look at the other side of his life. There could be a lot of sh*t he is concealing. And you think he is a great man.
The solution is simple.
Summon both to court. Then in court they interchange in roles to prove each one’s accusations.
CASE 1: GBM the complainant, WMK the defendant.
CASE 2: WMK the complainant, GBM the defendant.
If both prove the allegations and manage to get convictions – Then they both go to jail – each one for his sentence.
If they both win their cases? Fire them both because (1) They are both liers. (2). Unreliable and (3) Highly vengeful, Hence both not worth to be in leadership

In developed nations, a minister or high ranking officer is expected to either resign or go on forced leave while investigations are being conducted against him/her. This is so so that there is no interference in the process. We have seen the President pushing the three judges on “leave” whilst a commission of enquiry was expected to start work over matters pertaining to the 3 judges. Would a similar course of action be taken on the 2 ministers? Only time will tell.

The problem with Zambian investigations is that they end in outright silence. The two must be asked to resign from their positions and must sign a ‘full disclosure’ agreement.
