The sudden departure of Coach Dick Ngwenya from struggling FAZ Super Division side Indeni has shocked the club.
Ngwenya ditched Indeni on Tuesday to rejoin his old club Kabwe Warriors.
Indeni Secretary Steven Sinyinza said the club did not expect Ngwenya to leave the club in the manner he did.
“He just tendered the letter of resignation yesterday (Tuesday) citing personal reasons,” said Sinyinza.
Indeni have elevated assistant coach Daniel Bwalya to the role of head coach.
“The assistant Daniel Bwalya will stand in for him in the interim capacity,” he said.
Ngwenya resigned from Division One South leaders Warriors last July and joined Indeni as a replacement for Emmanuel Siwale who was fired
in May.
With five games remaining before the end of the Super Division, Indeni are currently bottom of the table with 20 points in 25 matches.
IMWE BA INDENI F C EXECUTIVE YOU ARE A LET DOWN THATS WHY WE DONT SUPPORT YOUR TEAM. YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL
Awe ba dick ngwenya,u are a disgrace,un principled and thought-less coach! You suck!
Ngwenya has seen that Warriors Bouncing back to Premier Soccer. Also he has seen Indeni to be relegated. He is a chancer. Abandoning the ship he has wrecked in mid sea with passengers on board.
Thats football bane. Coaches are like that. Very few coaches will stick with their teams even in bad times. My advice to the Indeni F.C. Executive is forget about Ngwenya and look to the future. Naaya ulya nachipwa. After all, Danny Matricks is also a good coach!
The current Warriors coach is not qualified to work in Super league. They had to find someone who is. Dick to them is like Renard for Zambia. Ditched the team, came back and won the Afcon trophy.
So Harve Renard won Zambia the AFCON? This Dick should have waited for the seazon to end and then honourably part with Indeni to rejoin the Railways team, after all, they have literaly qulified to the premier even now.
well come back ba dick. he know that there is hope at warriors with ZRL taking over the full sponsorship of the team.any coache is looking forward to be at warriors and on this one,i think dick knew that he cant stand a chance next so he had to move fast.i think the man thinks fast
Ba Dick u should be like your college at Lime Hot spurs, the team went into Division 1 he did remain with the team. Keep it up Mathews Ndhlovu you are man of action you have shown………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
