Police in Kalomo are holding two suspects in connection with a leakage of grade seven examination papers in Mapatizya schools zonal centre which were intended to be leaked to would be examined pupils.
Both the district administration, education authorities and police sources confirmed the development to ZANIS in separate interviews with the leakages reported to have occured early last week.
The two suspects are said to be from Kamukeza basic school where a named senior teacher is alleged to have ripped off from each five sachets containing the grade seven examination papers which were taken to the examination centre before the commencement of the examinations and harboured them to a local villager and the scum was noticed by vigilant members of the public who notified concerned authorities which led to the arrest of the duo.
District education board secretary, Webster Mwiinga who confirmed the incident said the incident was unfortunate adding that his department would not tolerate such behaviour among his staff while the two suspects are still in police custody and would appear in court soon.
Earlier, the district education examination security committee warned against the teaching fraternity of any possible mal- practices over the exercise following the previous year’s poor performance which saw Kalomo recording the second last in the entire country being second from Lukulu district.
Thats the way to go!! Arrest them and make sure they never teach again!!

LOL – why bother to cheat when the so-called professional journalists at ZANIS (and editors at LT) can get away with such lousy reporting? The third paragraph is one of the worst run-on sentences I’ve seen in a long time and is further marred by poor vocabulary (it’s a “scam” not scum – although scammers are scum, these are different things!). Not to mention…. when some people can rise to the very top of GRZ without Grade 7 what’s the big deal about exams?
lock them up and throw away the keys. its just too much of cheating by this combination of greedy teachers and lazy, dull pupils. this must come to an end immediately. i have employed grade 12;s who cannot even write properly let alone construct a sentence in english and i wonder as to how they passed the exams.
our examinations system just has to gain the respect it deserves yesterday it was unza today it kalomo school but thank you vigilant members of the community,keep it up,lets all work hard,we will eventually get there as a nation Integrity needed.
Ba teacher, why have you continued to sink so low by stealing simple multiple choice exams. Are you really fit to continue teaching! Ba DEBS kick out from the teaching profession such hopeless and corrupt elements. They are just a disgrace to the teaching fraternity.

Education System in Zambia just needs a total overhual that is why we have economists who cannot give solutions to our economic problems.
