Kapoko gets second acquittal on the case involving theft of K 300 million

Former Ministry of Health Human Resource Manager Henry Kapoko and his uncle, Robert Kalimi have been acquitted in a case involving three hundred million kwacha theft.

Magistrate Rodgers Kaoma acquitted the duo on account of insufficient evidence. acquittal

Magistrate Kaoma noted that the prosecution witnesses failed to establish alleged fraudulent payments made to Rojo Limited, the company owned by Kapoko’s uncle following the supply of training material for midwives and nurses at the ministry of Health.

He also said the persons who approved the payments were not brought to court to testify as to whether they concerted to the payments or not.

This is the second case in which Kapoko is being acquitted.

He was first acquitted of a theft case involving One point nine billion kwacha in October.

  1. Presumption of innocence says “EVERYONE IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!” Our courts have repeatedly demonstrated their independence and fairness. Kapoko was innocent and was being vicitimised because he has a nice lodge and an X5. Now please sit back and listen to the useless rantings by Beleg, Voodoo and jojo and their blind followers.

  4. The money he was busy stealing is the same money which sponsored PF campaign hence the appointments of his relatives into the foreign service.

  10. How can they establish a case against criminals when they themselves are criminals as evident from the behavior of the justice minister. there is no justice.

  13. i just feel bad for the poor zambian who was so happy when PF came into power. we all thought some of these stealing problems will be reduced. but up to now it is still theories from the Cobra the action man. he cannot act because many of his men have got dirty hands.kapoko knew what he was doing. there are too many powerful men involved in this scandal. the man is protected let him be acquitted to cut down the cost.

  16. Its time we took matters seriously like our friends in Egypt. The guys are raping the justice system right, left and centre and we are just watching. This is money that we are paying back. Government salaries will never improve with guy like kapoka stealing the like we have which make donor have credibility in putting conditions on their loans and aid. I feel so mad that if I had means I would take the law in my own hands. Look at how the president is protecting his gang of thieves

    Mr. Mangani charged that PF leader Michael Sata was allegedly given vehicles by Kapoko’s Uncle, Mr. Kalimi which were used during the campaigns.

    I told you all just yesterday that, with statements like…“I won’t suspend anybody unless you prove to me, the law says if you have a senior party official you want to investigate come and get permission from me. You don’t go to the press and say we are investigating somebody.”…Sata will be the demise of PF, mark my words. You can’t just have these verbal outburts with total disregard for the RULE OF LAW.
    You have to be very naive to believe Sata is really fighting corruption. #Karma is a b.i.t.c.h. with a never ending period#

  25. Everybody even the corrupt judges know that Kapoko, Dora and RB plus sons are thieves. The criminals have corrupted the system too much. I am begining to suspect Kapoko ‘invested’ in the PF campign and court system and he is reaping the harvest. God is not mocked, you steal from his people especially from the poor, widows, ophans and the sick. The PF government may be compromised. It’s a tragedy for Zambians on one hand they we are being ‘exploited by Chinese on the other hand chaps are stealing like prostitutes. HH instead of being outraged he is too busy witch hunt President Sata. Who will save us from all this staeling nkanshi?
