Denying PF boyfriends sex is an act of civil disobedience – UPND

United Party for National Development (UPND) has said that the directive by its leader Hakainde Hichilema to single ladies to deny their boyfriends sexual intercourse is nothing but just an act of civil disobedience.

UPND deputy spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo has told QFM news in a walk-in interview that such kind of civil disobedience has been accepted and used to punish a repressive regime.

Mr. Lifwekelo has noted that the Mr. Hichilema has been quoted out of context by the Post newspapers for political expediency.

He added that there is nothing Mediocre about Mr. Hichilema’s statement other than the fact that the PF government has failed to deliver its promises.

Mr. Lifwekelo has since noted that denying PF boyfriends’ sex as earlier indicated by Mr. Hichilema is one way of protesting over the bad state of affairs in the country.

Mr. Lifwekelo has since advised the PF leadership to concentrate on resolving its internal wrangles rather than mudslinging the Mr. Hichilema.

How someone would urge grown up people not to have s.e.x because he’s lost elections so many times is just beyond lunacy. If he’s not laughed off the political scene for this most stnpid request we will a record of most divorced Mutintas ever since CSO was founded.   24. Whether it is HH who said this or Sata or any Zambian leader, it is inappropriate. Can you imagine Obama or Cameron issuing such a directive? HH, learn from former presidential nominee, Romney whose numerous inappropriate remarks regarding women came back to haunt him. A major complaint about Sata is his limited education and unexpected outbursts. So we should expect a much higher standard of talk from HH, Mumba and the other opposition leaders who are educated. Bottom line, stick to what you will actually do to develop Zambia.

  25. Bringing politics into the bedroom, this strategy will never work. Why has UPND sank so low? This used to be a party of vision, not this cheap politicking. Leave sex talk to professionals and losers like Lifwekeko  should not be put upfront to represent and speak for the party, they are taking the party down. They were used by MMD to speak for them through bogus NGO’s and most Zambians know them and cannot trust them. UPND should sit down and reflect on the past elections and find out where they got it wrong and start a counter strategy to get them into state house. These everyday press conferences are counter- productive if you insult the same people you are trying to attract to your cause.

  39. Let me get this straight, the “future president of Zambia” would like to solve leadership issues using sex. Over 98% PF leaders are married. Those who are being led by what HH calls bad leadership should again suffer sex deprivation. By the way, what kind of leader embraces fornication. A leader, even though he knows that single girls have sex, does not rub the idea in people’s faces. Our ethics and values demand that single people abstain from sex until married. Though this is not a reality, a leader should encourage that notion so that in his presence fornicators shudder. So to HH sex is a tool for punishment and women are objects through which this punishment may be enforced. When did sex become an act of civil disobedience? UPND please…you serious need help.

  40. HH and his board of advisors sat down for a strategic meeting on Checks and Balances for the Zambian government. From the analysis of the current governance situation the PF government does not have good leadership. To solve this problem they come up with a resolution: Deprive PF of the much needed sex so that they come to their senses and start leading the country with good governance. According to UPND scientific research on leadership, sex especially by single women causes poor leadership. So HH and his people have the solution to all our leadership peblems. Now, how can we monitor the single women especially those in PF who do not listen to HH and call him childish and bitter? The message was especially for them.
