Zambia Lead in 2013 AFCON Tickets Sells

African champions Zambia is reportedly leading the way in 2013 Africa Cup ticket sells.

The 2013 AFCON local organising committee says Chipolopolo fans have so far bought 50,000 tickets.

In second place are Ethiopia with 30,000 tickets ahead of the Walia Antelopes first Africa Cup outing since 1982.

Incidentally, Ethiopia and Zambia will face-off in both sides opening Group C match on January 21 in Nelspruit.

And in third place on tickets sells is Algeria with 15,000.

Algeria are in Group D that contains Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia and Togo from which pool winners and runners-up from Group C will meet in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, a combined total of 15,000 tickets have been bought by other countries for the tournament that will run from January 19 to February 10.

  1. of course. We put our money where our mouths are. Don’t forget all the Malawians and Zimbabweans who are pulling their support behind us

    • Really, how many of them have bought tickets. They neither have the time nor money to waste on buying a ticket to watch Zambia play.

  2. Ethiopia must be beaten like 7-0 by Zed to send a message that we are in south africa to retain the cup, no jokes

  3. ”Ethiopia must be beaten like 7-0 by Zed to send a message that we are in south africa to retain the cup, no jokes”
LOOK AT THIS BALACK MAN,YOU MUST HAVE BEEN SNIFFING YOUR MOM’S KNICKERS!

  4. @5, You proud ethiopian, son of a harlot. Is there anything wrong with what Carlos has said? You will be taught a lesson in South Africa by the mighty chipolopolo. You were born as a result of your stu.pid father’s condom leaking when he was hammering your prostitu.te mother. Son of a bi.tch.

    • You might be, more the description you are giving to the person you are attacking!!!!
Just as you are proud of chipolopolo, he has every right to support his team, but that does not oblige him to be offensive, of course – & you don’t have to sink to his level to show your disgust with his conduct! Rather exhibit the traits of a respectable upbringing – i believe, cherished in Zed!

    • @Chipolopolo, Point taken and thanks for your wisdom. But that does not take away the fact that @proud ethiopian, is an a$$hole.

  5. Many are the times we have expected Zambia to harmer teams like Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Comoros and many more and we have ended up in disappointment and to make matters worse even losing. For me I would rather encourage Zambia to play with all their hearts and strength and not underate any team whether Ethiopia or Burkina Faso…….8-0 is possible if we play Ethiopia as though they are champions, but the opposite can also happen if we go into nthe stadium big headed…Go Zambia go and fight your way

  6. u zambian comment Senseless.u will see on the game field we will show u what football is …………expect ethiopia 2 zambia 1. we r not like u foot ball is not basketball. I hate u except kalusha bwalya

  7. As we already show u what freedom mean to people by being the only independent/not colonial people. We will show you what football mean.
    speak by think u Zambian.

  8. @carlos&Ethiopians are a$$holes, How dare u say that to the mighty Ethiopians, the only explanation is u’r mentally retarded,we will make u eat u’r word when we send u’r 50,000 crowd ashamed & disapointed…If u said those Idiotic words to my face I will bitch slap u back into u’r ugly mother’s womb!!!

  9. Some idiot says ethiopia will send z 50000 zambian fans tht wil attend z AFCON this year4 z stupid words u said I bet u get hit by wht we ko a manda manda (its a vehicle tht carries a coffin on its way 2 chingwere cemetery)we will treat ethiopia harshaly nd beat

  10. Yindu I don’t knw wht u hv bn told bt u will shocked wht zambia will do 2evry pathetic. Team tht will wnt 2stand in our way we mean business ths tym

  11. Ethiopians ask Drogba , ask yaya toure , ask the black stars of ghana they will tell you, dont play wit fire , chipolopolo will leave no stone unturned, wait u will see.
