Renard Says Zambia Winning Countdown Race

Share

Herve Renard insists Zambia is getting better with less than 13 days to go before they kick off their defence of Africa Cup crown.

Zambia on Tuesday drew 0-0 with Morocco in a friendly at Rand Stadium in Johannesburg to ease the pressure after three successive defeats in their 2013 friendly buildups.

“Why do you think we are here? To give up in the first round? ,” Renard told Moroccan soccer site Mountakhab.

“We are 13 days away from our first match. We are better than 3 days ago and we will be better after 3 days.”

Since beating South Africa 1-0 last November 14, Zambia lost 2-1 away to Saudi Arabia on December 5 and 1-0 on the road Dar-es-Salaam against Tanzania on December 22.

On January 5, Zambia went down 2-0 at the hands of their Western neighboring rivals Angola at Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg.

  1. Why choose chamanga, Noah chivuta and the other one i have forgotten his name? We need to show the world that 2012 was not by chance for us to win.

    • Critics without offering alternatives is destructive. I wonder who you guys have in mind as replacements for the players you even dont know the names.

  2. ‘oh oh aje aje amoscole, amoskole aje aje’.Anybody remember this song from Congo?
Anyway, talking about the issue at hand,I know that history has a propensity of repeating itself,no this time though!

  3. When asked to kick a stationary ball, most of these sharp critics may end up missing…..What is it that Herve has done wrong this time around? Give him chance to do his job. Is that too much to ask?

  4. Guys don’t worry if it is our time, we will retain the trophy if not, then it is not our time. There is only one winner at any given time and there is time for everything.

Support your locals guys. Don’t not be personal on certain issues. Good Zambia, go I am behind them.

  5. Even when preparing for examinations if you are getting right all the practice questions you may think all is well. But if you find others hard it will make you study hard. the most important point is that as you towards examination dates 90% of the practice questions you should get them right. Zambia has starting getting things right drawing with Morocco is not a joke. go Zambia go. Negative critics what have done for Zambia totally nothing

    • I agree with you. Problem with critics is they don’t come out in the open and demonstrate how it’s supposed to be done.

  6. Leave HR alone, start coaching if u want to challenge Him. He is 2012 coach of the year in Africa what have achieved U dim twits?? He brought the Cup which many great coaches like Paulsen failed to do, so what-else?? Maybe u’re from that region where a soccer governing body was formed last year but upto now no team in place…. Anyway Go Zambia goooo
    Lekeni fwebasapota tusapoteeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Makaveli @ 4 you made my day. I was listering to this Defao tune on my way to work. Kana vina kamudala mu nyimbo with his trousers in the thechest. Aje aje Amoskole

  8. I have no doubt Chipolopolo will do well. They will always be a good team no matter what. To have a motivational figure, coach, manager in one person (Herve Renard); I wouldn’t ask for more. Sit back ladies and gentlemen. Let’s not be so caught up in the destination that we miss the journey. Let the games Begin!

  9. Now iam Convinced about my opinion so I will keep posting it. If it don’t get published I will give it to galuwatch Kodi imwe ba LTee what’s this recent fascination you have with Moderating bloggings. In any case Most of the blogging we see here is slanderous so what aare you moderating? R U checking our PC identities for passing on to Red Brick?

  10. The only game chipolopolo played with any semblance of the AFCON 2012 team was the one played against Bafana Bafana. The rest were either second rate or experimental and not too serious. Coincidentally, Bafana Bafana made Chipolopolo sign a contract that the ACTUAL team be fielded! Pliz Norway, make HR sign that he will field the REAL chipolopolo come saturday!
