Warriors Ready For 2013 Season: Ngwenya

Promoted Kabwe Warriors coach Dick Ngwenya has declared his side ready for the 2013 FAZ Super Division campaign.

Warriors concluded a five-day pre-season tour of the Copperbelt on Sunday after playing four warm-up games winning three.

On Thursday, Warriors thrashed Roan United 3-0 in Luanshya before defeating Mufulira Wanderers 2-1 on Friday.

And on Sunday the Kabwe side lost to Nkana 4-0 just 24 hours after beating Konkola Blades 2-1 in Chililabombwe.

In an interview after the loss at Nkana Stadium, Ngwenya said he has prepared a team capable of competing in the elite league.

“So far so good we have learnt something from the four games,” he said.

“I think my players are ready for any Super Division team. I have prepared a team which will play in the Super Division,” Ngwenya added.

Warriors begins their Super Division campaign on Saturday with a week one fixture against Zesco United at Godfrey “Ucar” Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe.
