Patriotic Front (PF) Southern Province youth chairperson Peter Msoni has died in Mazabuka a traffic road accident.

Both Southern Province Commissioner of Police Charity Katanga and Mazabuka District Commissioner Eugene Munyama confirmed the development in separate interviews.

Mr Munyama said Mr Msoni died yesterday (Monday) morning between 08 hours and 09 hours after his vehicle hit a pothole and overturned around Nyati Milling in Mazabuka as he was driving to Lusaka.

Speaking in an interview yesterday, Mr Munyama said the Government and the ruling party was saddened over the loss of the provincial youth chairperson.

“We are extremely saddened as Government and PF to lose an energetic young man in the name of Mr Msoni.

What happened was that he was driving to Lusaka alone in his vehicle yesterday morning. He died after his vehicle hit a pothole and overturned,” Mr Munyama said.

He said the body of the late Mr Msoni was taken to Mazabuka Mortuary awaiting burial arrangements.

The late Mr Msoni, who was staying in Mazabuka, was part of the PF campaign team during the just ended Livingstone parliamentary by-election which was won by Lawrence Evans.

  1. Chanda,a pf cadre died during campaigns,pf’s Evans won the election and now their chairman dies just after hitg a pothole?????????????

    • I have always said it that statitistics and probablities all point in one direction as being the cause of all these misfortunes. Just yesterday alone, before doctors advised ailing Sata to be going to bed by 20:00hrs everyday, we heard reports that 8 people had died. As if that vwas not enough some more confusing reports of the body of dea person was exhumed from the grave and both the body and the coffin stolen. It did not just end there, we also received reports of a person being killed in Eastern province whilst the other one committed suicide by hanging himself. After that we now heard of the death of Mr Msoni. Like many witches, sata is sacrificing his own supporters.

    • You must be satanists yourselves for you to even think about such. Your theories you know them better and they make sense to only you. It take one satanist to know the other. You must be sangomas!

  2. I bet they’ll patch that pothole now. In Zed, it is not unusual to wait for tragedies or “high profile accidents” to occur before wrongs are made right!

    • There are too many potholes on the Kafue – Mazabuka Road. I used it a month ago, whose in charge pls? Mend that Road before a lot of lives are lost.

    • There are potholes on this stretch of road. I frequently drove between Livingstone and Lusaka in November 2012.

we have a reactive culture, waiting for tragedy to strike before we correct the wrongs no matter how long we have known that wrong. We must give power & money to the councils to do some of these jobs and not have everything decided in Lusaka

We are the United States of Amnesia (USA) that vehemently refuse gun controls and when the shoot & slaughter each other, they fo0lishly express shock!

Its incumbent upon us as ordinary citizens to push govt for services that will better the quality of life.
Money is always there but its just applied on wrong priorities like by-elections.

if the don’t deliver we vote them out.. We deserve far better than what we have had so far

  3. Sorry for the loss of precious life. May the Lord God bless and comfort the bereaved family. I also hope that the pot holes must be mended before more lives are lost.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  4. There r a lot of myths to these deaths rn the country. Sacrife being one of them. I’m not going to agree or disagree.
All I cn say is that its sad to lose a youngman because of a ‘road pot hole,’ if the government does nt work on the roads they will continue to work on the citizens n the government itself.

That road would hv not worked on the youth chairperson causing his death if it had been worked on by the government.

The government shouldn’t wait for a tragedy to occur inorder for it to start working.

  5. R.I.P comrade ul be sadly misd by the pf n the nation in yr contribution towards this country,it is only the proces of death which migt seem painful bt in yr repose yr soul lives on…..a seed has been germinated…R.I.P bratha…

  6. Do not forget the wild cat allegation to UPND. These are settled in a different way. We shall see what Mwaliteta has to protect himself. All those involved in malpractices are in for it. GOD IS ALWAYS MERCIFUL TO HIS TYPE. Evans, will not be a problem, we know where he is found, ours is mare smearing, and you go.

  7. Looks like the “Christian Nation” Label has given way to overly superstitious innuendos as I can see from some bloggers’ comments. Guys please, you cannot explain away neglect with witchcraft – the roads are just bad, period. I hope we will see some serious attention to keeping our road infrastructure in good order consistently to avoid these mishaps. Msoni RIP.

  8. May his soul rest in peace. Those who are saying Sata is sacrificing people are stupid.Accidents happen, people comit suicide, people die in different ways.It is foolish to blame the president for the death of anybody in a traffic accident. Are you saying all the people that died during RB’s presidency where sacrified by RB?Thinking like this is not only retrogressive but foolish!!

  9. Life is a journey, all those who follow the former president are proud to be called Banda’s but you people who are followers of why are you not happy to be called Satans or Satanists.

  10. Accidents happen everyday. Sorry to the family of Mr Msoni. I dont accept witch craft or his involvement in the just ended Livingstone bye-election. He should be commended for working hard to put his candidate in the MP seat. Let him rest in peace.
