United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema has justified his reference to Vice President Guy Scott as a ‘Stupid Whiteman’.
Mr Hichilema said this because Dr. Scott does not respect the country’s rule of law.
He said that there has been a breakdown in the rule of law in the country ever since the Patriotic Front government came to power.
Mr.Hichilema told Qfm in an exclusive interview that the ruling party has no respect for the Zambian laws and the more reason why they should not expect to hear anything good from him.
The unapologetic UPND leader stated that he should instead be praised for asking the Vice President to stop breaking the electoral rules without remorse.
Mr. Hichilema stressed that there has been too much of the break down in the rule of law and that Zambians will not remain quiet and watch public resources being abused during campaigns by the ruling party.
He has since maintained that he will not apologize to the vice president stating that there is nothing to apologize about, but the need to respect the rule of law as it is key to maintaining peace and suitability.

According to the dictionary, if you say someone is stupid, you mean that he shows a lack of good judgment or intelligence and they are not sensible. The problem with Zambians is that most of us use Zambian English which is not correct and so when words are used correctly, we think someone is insulting. Every one of us has at one time or another behaved in a stupid manner. The context in which HH used the word is important as he was referring to a particular situation.

This Ndobo old man is perplexing. Given what he said the other day about Dongo na Sundu he went to school in my father’s schooldays so he is about 62. What he posts on the web is so Under-5. How doEs a 60 year old man spend all his time blogging nonsense on the web? He must be a very frustrated old man. Or most likely a failed politician. Does his ‘nonsensicalness’ typify our political leadership? I think so just imagine if Sata was blogging! My caucasian friends in the UK refer to their well accomplished caucasian friends as white men. What they actually mean is that these people are learned, belong to the first class in society and are held highly to observe the law. In this context, HH may be referring to the fact that Guy Scott is someone who is expected to respect the rule of law but on the contrary. I am not defending anyone here, just offering my opinion. However, we should refrain from name calling by our race as it misleads people. Let caucasian people call each other ‘white’ and African Americans in the US refer to each other as N*****.
People should be careful and not listen to this guy. HH want to sow the seed of anarchy in the country and hope to rule over the ashes when the country burns!. He is getting frustrated because people are not interested in his ideology of mapatizya formula as a way to gain popularity and his trump card with Amsterdam on the Commonwealth sanctions has yielded zero action but exposed them for what they are, a group of power hungry despots who would do anything to gain control of the country.
The unfortunate thing about all this is that HH’s message, though important, got lost by his poor choice of words. No well-cultured and self-respecting Zambian can support or excuse the “border-line racist” comments HH uttered towards the Vice President. No matter how much him and his supporters are going to try and whitewash the insults, HH was wrong!
Anyway, it takes a REAL MAN (not necessarily a REAL POLITICIAN) to recognize his mistakes when they make them and apologize. But, of course, that’s simply expecting and asking too much from people of Hakahinde’s caliber—the “Youngman” is so full of himself with a pathological tendency of overrating himself—what a disappointment to the Zambian younger generation!!!
