MMD president Nevers Mumba has linked the growing number of deaths on Zambian road to some evil spiritual hand which has engulfed the nation over the past few months.
In his letter of condolences to his UPND counterpart Hakainde Hichilema on the death of nine UPND members in Feira on Sunday, Dr Mumba notes that blood has been shed as though the country is a war zone.
Dr Mumba says although death comes to all, the growing number of deaths on Zambian roads is greatly troubling, and trust that the Lord will prevail over this evil and deliver the country from further pain.
He since announced the suspension of MMD campaigns in Feira to give honour to the deceased.
The MMD president says it is hoped that the PF will not reduce the very sad development into a campaign tool in Feira as this will be a very ungodly and insensitive thing to do.
Dr Mumba says the MMD welcomes the decision by the PF government to support the families of the deceased, but that this should be done in the spirit of reverence for the departed and not as a means to woo support for themselves in the Feira by-election.
Meanwhile, the burial for the nine Feira accident victims is expected to take place tomorrow on Wednesday.
ZANIS reports from Luangwa that seven of the victims will be buried in a mass grave in Luangwa while two will be put to rest in Lusaka.
The burial procession of the deceased is expected to take place after police conduct a post-mortem.
Meanwhile, Lusaka Province Minister, Freedom Sikazwe who visited the bereaved families has conveyed President Michael Sata’s condolences and warned against politicising the funeral.
A spirit of unity was demonstrated at the hospital when MMD Vice President for administration, Brian Chituwo and other party members, joined Lusaka Province Minister, Freedom Sikazwe and PF candidate in the forthcoming Feira parliamentary by-elections, Patrick Ngoma to visit accident survivors in the hospital.
Dr. Chituwo, Mr. Kangwa and Mr. Sikazwe took time to encourage the injured people and wished them a quick recovery.
Katondwe mission hospital management was happy with government’s quick response towards helping the accident victims.
At the funeral gatherings, Mr. Kangwa disclosed that government would provide necessary requirements to the bereaved families in order to guarantee a dignified burial of the dead

its because of backslidden people like you Nervous who are no longer praying but entangling yourselves in lies and galavanting using other peoples hard earned cash.Turn back to God so you can be restored and nowander everything you touch end up being a failure. You’ll soon be swallowed by a fish like jonah
Sense! Uyu mupatili na alasabaila, ubupupu nabo nipamushi! Zambia shall be shaved. lol!
Vertically challenged men are something else!
Foolish comment. When will some of you put your brains to sensible thinking?
Do politicts of thinking not yapping anyhow.
Abomfwa kuli Nevers na ba Shibwalya bakayaapya nabo.
Evil has always been their ever since Lucifer revolted against God.This is not a new phenomena. My condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. Mtsrip.
*there*
Agree that evil has always Ben there. Not so much the Lucifer part.
Ever since the existence of man
When was this?
200,000 – 250,000 years ago. I believe in evolution.
The road accidents have nothing to do with evil. Just bad roads, bad driving, people not wearing seat belts etc. I have said this before. Politicians should stop blaming the Devil on the ills that the country endures. Especially if they can fix the problems. Will never develop with this sought of mind set.
Even if these people died from bee stings these chaps will find a way of twisting the tragic event and blame it on some evil hand just to gain political mileage. Can we not mourn our dearly departed without bringing in any politics? MTSRIP
It’s a very convenient scapegoat. Cover your own failures by attributing the failed outcomes to demons, the devil etc
Are you saying that the roads have just become bad suddenly in the past 15 months?
Your analysis and judgement not as smart.
@cs
Plausible. Lax rules, vehicle fitness inspections neglected, road infrastructure not meeting the increased vehicle ownership etc.
In 15 months things can go down the toilet very quickly.
What’s your analysis?
two evil omen conforting each other. MTSRIP
Its funny that this evil which is causing road traffic accidents is not in certain countries which have more Atheists than Zambia,…..
Hahahahahaah….thats a good one!! I also wonder if evil is just in Zambia and not any other country. What is so special about Zambia?
Icho chintu ! Lol
In fact they’re doing well! And seem more ‘blessed”!
Yeah like China RUssia and even the US
black thought -how can evil be against evil?a house divided against itself cant stand.how can a demon possessed person deliver a fellow demon possessed friend?its not possible.so those atheists are from the same home and cant fight each other.Evil will always fight those in the light and remember zambia is a christian nation meaning that the devil will always be against our declaration(our christian stand).indeed your thoughts are so black and evil.repent!
No.
Condolences to the families who has lost the beloved ones. Roads, driving habits are terrible. These are the issues politicians are suppose to be talking about, not about what can be gained. Political parties have become self centred, no longer servants. Always saying president Sata and PF are bad. what the attitude! If UPND, MMD were in good standing you would have won the election. Do not put the blame on the devil lets first improve our driving habits, roads , limits etc. you can bind the devil but as long as our driving habits and roads are bad accidents will prevail. Lets do our part and God will do his part. Most accidents are caused.
YOU HAVE A SATANIST IN STATE HOUSE, THATS WHY. WHY SHOULD YOU ALLOW THE SERPENT, KING COBRA TO BE RULING YOU?
1.Evil is in people who abandon the Church for earthly pleasures. The day is coming for reckoning.
2.Simple.fact we now have more vehicles on roads and a large number of people getting behind the wheels without qualifying to be drivers.
I can see that you are now God to judge whom God will punish.
But all of the suddenly vehicles have become too many?
As I understand it, there are cheap imports from Toyota, making them affordable for a lot more people.
Yes, 15 months is more than long enough.
Remember in the UNIP days when you had KK in state house, you had a lot of “Bakatumbula mitima”. The man went on to build the david temple there. He even allowed magicians (from counties as far as India and Bangladesh) to be performing live in schools. The teachers even used to punish us if you didnt attend these magic shows. Now KK’s newly adopted friend, King Cobra, is in state house. What do you expect? They (KK and Sata King Cobra) have something in common.
After Sata, Zambians should NOT allow one free mason, HH, to rule this country. Otherwise, bad luck upon this country (Zambia) will continue.
Talk intelligently. There is no bad luck in Zambia. Just bad governance.
You are very right my dear, let us watch and pray together
Nevers you are evil and a vertically challenged rumor mongor.
The gullibility amongst Zambians just wows! It shouldn’t take any sophisticated study to show that along with social decadence, Zambia has stagnated in terms of its infrastructural development and maintenance for decades now. How can you even bring the Devil into this picture of your own making? It is not usual for developmental projects to be enhancements; rather they have simply been addressing dilapidated infrastructure while ignoring enforcement of laws. For once I am sure the devil is denying this liability…
A real Christian can not be suprised with these untimely deaths. It is there in the bible. The problem with 21st Century pastors is that they read the Bible just to prepare for Sunday or saturday sermon. They spend most time on reading novels and dictionaries just improve their english Vocabulary to attract their audience(congregants) as if God only listens to English.
Satan,Lucifer the rebelious angel has been there and his motive are known.he is got nothing good for human kind and can cause any calamity any time so that you doubt that there is no God who Cares.
Dear brethren, pray without ceasing this world is going.Pastors, priests all the Cleagy prepare people for the kingdom of God which is coming.Stop lying to people about economic prosperity. All riches you see are flowers they wii go…
My friend you sound like someone who lives in heaven already.
Your mind is already gone to the next life, forgetting that God brought us here to govern things on his behalf. If we were not relevant in this life God would not have brought us here in the first place.
I hope you have quit your job preparing for the next kingdom.
Ba Pastor Mumbwe, .Please shut up. You are the cause of all the evil happenings. Go back to the pulpit.
When the MMD raffians roughed up Major Kachingwe was that a holy hand engulfing Zambia? Or other sections of Zambia are exempted? Lets be fair in addressing these issues. While the PF leadership has come out to condemn such acts of violence, you as president of MMD and a man of God, kept quiet. Let’s not use God in our fights, but call a spade a spade in all circumstances
Pastor Nevers Mumba,….You abandoned the most important Job on this earth and abandoned the Church for earthly or worldly pleasures which are nothing but temporal and so the Sheep have been led astray and most of them have even died without knowing God. So which one are the Evil acts in this case. The day of reckoning is coming indeed……
But you, you are dull. Who told you that it was only Nevers who was to preach to the people you are talking about?
Which people have you preached to?
THINK
This is where Christianity comes short. Drivers not having been trained and tested properly -if ever, drunks and mental patients driving on the same roads as normal sober people, little spoiled prats aged as young 12 yrs from ‘kus’ driving recklessly and lunatics on drugs driving buses has completely nothing to do with spiritualism nonsense. Whats causing all these accidents is our lack of common sense, those charged with the responsibility of keeping sanity on our a either out of the depth or are neglecting to carry out their duty. As for traffic Police officers, well what can i say?

Agree. Zambians use Christianity as a cop-out.
IF DEATHS = EVIL HAND, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ABOUT SOMALIA? ITS BETTER TO BE SINGLE AND WISH YOU WERE MARRIED THAN TO BE MARRIED AND WISH YOU WERE SINGLE. ITS BETTER TO BE IN POLITICS AND WISH YOU WERE A CLERGY THAN TO BE IN POLITICS AND WISH YOU REMAINED A CLERGY.
We should look at our inner selves before we point the finger at evil or the devil (whatever name call it). Zambians are careless driver who drink and drive, overspeeding and breaking the traffic regulations. Some people do not even have driving licenses yet they drive people around and so fourth. Then when an accident occurs you want to point a finger at evil spirits? Sometime these same evil spirits you just accuse them when they have nothing to do with accidents. Let us be responsible on the roads periods!
Another good reason for not wasting your vote on leaders like Mumba: no rational thinking whatsoever. At about the same period these accidents have been happening in Zambia, many more lives have been lost in the US due to weather related events, in CHina due to mine, chicken farm and weather related accidents, in Germany also due to normal or natural accidents. When 9 lives are lost because of poor roads and drunken driving, a supposedly intelligent and educated person aspiring to be president of a country, goes off half-cocked spewing nonsense!! No death in Zambia should occur even due to people’s stupidy?
Nishani ba Pastor ukumoneka ukubutuluka so pa menso? He looks deathly pale!!!
evil is in zambia; its the only way pipo like neverlands(nevers mumba) and his fello pente pastors can earn a living by instilling fear in zedians about evil and lucifer their friend. board a bus from intercity before u start off, lucifer’s friends ll preach to you about the accidents u ll ve on the road. the preaching is always about the bad u ll face never the good.
This is how zambia has become lucifer play ground coz he is the most talked about as if he was God.
Yes, it is called Ukwa’s hand, bwana Nevers!
Most of these accidents are caused bad beheavier on our roads, nothing to do with bad spirit. that guy was over speedind and people were too exited. it is very sad.
There are two school of thoughts sudden evil in the land and bad roads, bad driving. Some comparative analysis needs to be carried out on both school of thoughts to come up with a root cause analysis of what is happening. Someone needs to carry out a research based upon secondary data maybe from RTSA and other sources on the accident rate from February 2010 to September 2011 and from September 2011 to May 2012,
Meant September 2011 to May 2013
for a total months of 20 months to determine how many deadly accidents they were by month. The roads have not changed from 2010 until now and the behavior of the drivers seems not to have changed. Then everyone can debate based upon statistics whether it is evil occurrences or bad roads, bad driving.
So ba Nevers you dont know that you are working closely with FREE MASONISTS who are fighting so hard to take over this nation? where have you left your god?? please open your eyes you hyprocrite!!
Zambia seriously needs God.Some comments about the man of God(Dr Mumba),on your article attributed to him about the evil sarrounding these road accidents are very unfortunate. This shows how unspiritual some Zambians we have.I urge these unspiritual individuals to stop using crude languange on the man of God, otherwise they’re calling damnation on their lives. If they don’t know spiritual matters it’s better to keep quite.God should entervene in Zambia to avoid any futher loses of human life.Man of God very soon you will be vindicated, like what happened at BIGOCA,it’s demonic.
Nevers a man of God has not divided the Word correctly. When you plant beans you do not expect to reap maize. So when you have fault vehicle, unqualified drivers, drunk drivers, not putting on seatbelt, bad roads, overspending we expect to harvest accidents. Now men of God are supporting subsidies, where will the gov find the money for roads, school etc? Stop blaming the devil when we have failed to do our part. It is like a man who has planted nuts and he doesn’t want to weed , then blames God for bad yield of nuts. People perish with the Word of God if not submitted to it and people perish with lack of knowledge.
just shut up iwe pastor
