The Patriotic Front in Mansa in Luapula Province has warned teachers in the area to desist from abusing school girls but to rather offer them the necessary attention that is needed for them to excel in their studies.

Mansa Central Constituency PF Chairperson Steven Chenda said some teachers in the area had been reported to be in the habit of abusing their school girls in pretext that they would give them ‘leakages’ during the examination period.

He said he was saddened with the reports.

The Patriotic Front official said in a statement released in Mansa yesterday that any teacher that would be found wanting would lose his job, as the Government would not tolerate such behaviour.

He pointed out that teachers were supposed to be the second fathers to the children they teach, but if they turn and start raping or defiling them, they (pupils) would lose confidence in them and subsequently start fearing attending classes.

Mr Chenda further called on all parents and guardians of girls in the area to take keen interest in their girls as they were the future leaders of the nation.

He said parents should not marry off their girl children.

Mr Chenda said the PF Government attaches great importance to the education of both girls and boys’ education that was why it was endeavoring to build schools in all parts of the country.

  1. How about female teachers, are they allowd to have sex with scholl boys? I know of a teacher who was impregnanted twice by a school pupil and was only transfared to another school.

  2. Parents have to be instrumental in protecting their daughters, this job cant be left to government alone!

  3. Whoever impregnated Rachel, girl in picture should be taken to court is only 13 yrs and baby is one yr meaning that she fall pregnant when she was about 11 yrs plus months.

  4. Indeed Rachel is too young to have a baby. I’m pretty sure the fool who impregnated her is walking freely in the same community. I wish I had cash I would have picked up the case on her behalf. Poor girl!!!!!
