NAREP youths responds to Post Newspaper editorial accusing Chipimo Jr of bragging about his wealth

Share

As NAREP youths we wish to put to record that we are disappointed with the attacks on the NAREP president Mr Elias Chipimo Jr and the party in general in yesterday’s-Wednesday 19th June, 2013 Post Newspaper editorial comment.

In their editorial, the Post newspaper accused our party president of bragging to be rich and promising party members big budgets and went further to make demonic prophecy that a party like NAREP will not last long, and will never be able to win an election and form government.

Even when Mr Chipimo is striving hard to introduce issue-based politics in Zambia, some people who are used to petty politics of name calling and use of lies and cheap propaganda are trying to frustrate his efforts.

Mr Chipimo has the most humble and objective of all presidential aspirants in Zambia today and has never on any occasion boasted about his wealth or ever promised anyone a single ngwee for joining NAREP.

People are joining NAREP because of its appealing, objective and issue-based politics. The people of Zambia are tired of retrogressive politics of name calling which Fred M’membe and his paper have been practicing for years and which has not helped this nation develop.

What Fred M’membe and his paper did not consider when publishing that editorial comment is that everything starts from somewhere. All these parties that are established like UNIP did not raise their funds overnight, it was a process that took hard work and time.

NAREP members are working tirelessly to build the party and as of today NAREP is the fastest growing political party in Zambia because it has objective and selfless members who will not be derailed by selfish individuals who think they can manipulate the thinking of Zambian people but Zambian people can no longer be fooled.

Our appeal to Fred M’membe as NAREP youths is that ‘Go back to the drawing board, and start reporting matters objectively as you did before 2011 election or otherwise we shall be made to believe that you are not objective and only supported PF because of your own selfish reasons not on principles.

Though we understand your hatred for Hakainde Hichilema we urge you to be respectful … you can never refer to a leader, politician and a man who has a family as ‘CHAP’.

  1. Dont wory about evil Mumembe, thats what he propagates all days of his life; sometimes even using the word of God to stress his hatred for others. NAREP ur the party, just be aggressive otherwise we are your members and thoz attacking u are probably afraid of u!!! …..Fuseki ka mumembe!!!!!

  2. The Post and it’s followers must just put up or shut up! They must stop being primitive and learn to accept that being wealthy, successful or comfortable in life is NO LONGER a preserve of just a few in Zambia. People must change their psych from thinking that being poor or struggling in life is the norm. It is poverty that is abnormal and therefore reportable as requiring us to fight against. We must begin to get inspired by those who have worked hard for their success and allow them to inspire our youth. Our youth need real ROLE MODELS and no RAW or WRONG MODELS!

  3. Ba Wilison sure lekeni ukusabaila nga abalwele cerebral malaria….ati NALEPU is the fastest growing party ai? kwisa

  4. Wilson Banda dont worry yourself about The Post. I dont think anyone takes them seriously nowadays. They are the biggest sellouts Zambian journalism has ever known. I know Chipimo. He is the last man that would boast about his wealth

  5. Fred Membe is one inadequate guy. My view is that he has an inferiority complex hat needs to sorted out. I feel sorry for people, if any at all, who actually believe him. My hope is that there are none.

  6. The days of the past newspaper shaping and directing the thoughts and mood of the zambian political landscape are gone.Fred and his disciples are now known for who they are and whose interests they serve.Fred is a simple crook using a newspaper to shoot down those he sees as a danger to his uncontrollable greedy and self crowned title of king maker.Fred you can not cheat all the people all the time, maybe PF leadership and its members. It is finished!!!!!!!!!

  7. When someone is talking about you, he is afraid of you. M’membe and the post are afraid of Chipimo cozy they know that he is a threat. Go Chipimo..Go..you are the next President.

    • This ka party failed to hold a rally in Fiera because no one turned up and they claim to be the fastest growing party. How can they be a threat when even villagers are not interested to listen what they are saying.

    • How do u know that no one turned up….if u are in Europe. Whether u like it if not pipo are now realising that NAREP is the real alternative….slowing winning the hearts and minds…..viva NAREP.

    • NAREP is really growing fast indeed!
Chipimo only needs to get more vibrant, even himself will be surprised abt what a large following he has because of his inteligent and wise way of conducting his politics

  8. People shouldn’t pay too much attention to Mmembe because he strives to sale his paper, he’ll do and write about anything just to sale his paper. NAREP shouldn’t even waste their precious time reacting to post articles because it will not help them in any way and will instead start a battle of words with the post newspaper which is their aim to keep distracting people from real issues!

  9. Zedians, we have said it before and we are saying it now: Simply boycott the PFost paper, lets start with Fridays to rhyme with black friday, and then slowly withdraw until we completely stop buying the useless paper. How can one person insult everybody and we just look at him tuli ndwii? Me I stopped buying this paper months ago.

  10. Ba Chipimo today you are with Sata challeging other political parties, the next day you are an opposition political party leader, please fully state your ground carefully and tell us where you stand,we dont want a situation were pf thieves will find refuge in NAREP if in case you form government in 2021 if upnd fails to deliver on their promises after the 2016 general elections

    • Keep dreaming about UPND, yes you will win in 2016 ONLY in southern province. NAREP is now the real alternative for the rest of Zambia….they are mature pipo don’t critize everything the govt does even if its good for the zambian pipo.

HH has no real plan for Zambia only for Tonga land

  11. Let us teach them mature politics that we are known of,we are the best party so far and we are very much wiiling to change the way these people are governing us. We are a party with a vision for mother Zambia. Our Prsident Mr Chipimo Jnr has to brought reall change in Zambian politics. 2016 WE CANT WAIT. Go Go heart for the people

  12. MR FRED MEMBE, WHY CHEAPEN YOURSELF AND SINK SO LOW TO HAVE THOSE BRAGGADOCIO COMMENTS WHICH IS UNTYPICAL OF YOU TO NAREP!!!!!!!!

    SAVE THE ZAMBIN SPIRIT.

  13. That editorial was more on HH than chipimo and baby party NAREPU! Read the editorial in full and you will understand.

    • Zak, don’t know which editorial you read, the one in the post was about Chipimo and HH the article referred to both of them . If HH and team decide not to respond that is not NAREP or Chipimo’s problem.

  14. I have never understood why most Zambians believe the word ‘CHAP’ is derogatory! You can refer to a family man as CHAP, it just means Fellow or Fella (Scottish). Even in parliament it caused an approar when Guy Scott used, as soom opposition MPs felf insulted and raised a point of order!

That said, M’membe is a very bitter chap (fellow) who is not objective and just likes targetting anyone he does not agree with.
