Mozambique jet in for Zambia showdown

Zambia’s opponents at the ongoing Cosafa Cup Mozambique have arrived in the country.

Mozambique face hosts Zambia in Sunday’s quarterfinal clash at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

The Mambas landed at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola after 14:00 hours on Tuesday.

Mozambique have since set up camp in Kitwe.

Zambia and Mozambique are among six teams that received first round byes at the Cosafa Cup.

  1. if both teams had received byes in the preliminaries or whatever, why then are they meeting in the quarter finals without kicking a ball?
    i thought one of them or betterstill, both were supposed to at least play the teams that have qualified from the preliminaries.
    quiet strange indeed.

  2. COSAFA must rethink their fixture scheduling next year.Imagine how many games some of these teams will play till the final game?

  3. Why use a small capacity stadium when Levy is just loafing and game is on Saturday. We have beautiful stadium but why we are using Nkana (5000 people max)and Arthur Davis beats me.

  4. Lets have the Zambia – Mozambique game at Levy Mwanawasa. FAZ u have heard me.
