Lesotho sail through to semis

Lesotho beat Angola 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw to advance to the semi-finals of the Cosafa Cup where they will face defending champions Zimbabwe on Wednesday.

Angola made a false start at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe when they took a 24th minute lead via a Cristovao Paciencia cracker.

Sixteen minutes later Tale Thapelo equalised for The Crocodiles inside the box.

Lesotho were unlucky not to seal the win in regulation time when time after hitting the cross bar twice.

Thapelo hit the upright on 69 minutes in a one-on-one situation with Angola keeper Nelson Francisco.

Deep in addition time Lehlomela Ramabela was too denied by the bar when his shot hit the upright.

Zimbabwe are expected to give Lesotho their toughest match so far in the regional champtionship as the two teams clash at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
