PF Nchanga MP Wilbur Simuusa has denied reports linking him to Mivami construction limited, the company that has failed to complete works on township roads in Chingola.
Chingola residents have expressed disappointment with Mivami prompting some councilors to call for the cancellation of the contract and have it given to other companies.
Some media reports indicate that the Roads Development Agency is failing to act on the complaints because Mivami is owned by Mr. Simuusa who is also Lands Minster.
But Mr. Simuusa said he has no links to Minava, the company that has been working on the township roads since late 2011.
He said such reports are malicious and are being created by some opposition political parties with the intentions of damaging his reputation.
“I get amazed at how someone could just wake up and start concocting those stories. I don’t own Mivami and from my knowledge, this company is South African and they partnered with some two Zambians to set up the Zambian unit,” Mr. Simuusa said.
He added, “Mivami is still on site and will soon be completing the road works, I know that this week, they will be putting the tarmac on the surfaced roads and am confident Chingola roads will change soon.”
Ba Simuusa you have failed this city. Come 2016 you are going.
let us vote this guy out for good. he has failed terribly. even his residential street road has got canyons
I agree with you, Simusa has failed the people of Chingola especially Nchanga Constituency where he comes from. He is a non-performer like his friend Fackson Shamenda. I come from Chingola, and last month when I wen to visit mum, the township roads are still in bad shape unlike Kitwe and Luanshya whose roads have been worked on. The roads are in a deplorable state!! Simusa must go and have told all my relatives that they should vote him out come 2016!!
Catch us if you can!!!
President Sata such companies u dont evn waste time, cancel such contract so tht our vision ismaintaind fr developmt by 2016.More tht story rings a bell!Whistle blower hints are at play!Equity before the law & investigation must be instituted imediatly to clear alegations.Uphold zero tolerance to the law.
…and one of the other two zambian partners should be you. I can even see the biasness in your statement. “Mivami is still on site and will soon be completing the road works, I know that this week, they will be putting the tarmac on the surfaced roads and am confident Chingola roads will change soon.” Anti corruption, please investigate this fool
Am a chingola resident the man is a let down let him wait for 2016.Such people will cost PF in the next elections its time the president started acting on such idiots.
He joins this f00lish chap Kambwili, high on cholesterol but no brains in making PF unpopular.
As Zambians the only way our country will develop is showing no compromise but voting out any govt that fails to deliver on promises. Since MMD there has been very little development seen in the country, kano fye bukabolala, mwe mbushi mwe
Simusa you are a foool. Chingola is still backwards in terms of roads. Just look at the way your street, Central Avenue, looks. Idioot.
If there is anything i really regreat doing for this goverment is voting for this idioot my the lord forgive my sin.If this man will go through in 2016 in chingola i’ll never vote again in my life this is a promise.
Just like Ngombe compound . NO sign of development of any kind . We have no pipe water, no good roads etc. What a usiless councellor we have he should ZWA by 2016.
Yes, but as a cadre (with free PF computer?) reminded us a just a couple days ago, at least the grounds at State House are getting lots of water.
Apparently, we should commend that!
Uh…..
Simuusa we know the connection in this company is related to you.His name is Reeves Malambo the owner of Auto Force, and we know that he is related to you.Last month you made headlines that this company will finish tarring Mupaka,Central,Kasompe and President avenue,by the end of June, which has not happened. One wonders why you have sunk so low as to protect the interest of the few people against the entire population of Chingola. No wonder why your house Number 2 Central is dirty and used as a garage. You are not even ashamed to be fixing those ancient trucks of yours on public roads.Chingola council officials are sleeping the are happy with the current roads.
Simuusa you will reap your words.
VERY SOON IS GOING TO BE PROMOTED,HE IS A PERFORMER JUST WAIT AND SEE.
NO FACTS IN THE CONDEMNATION OF SIMUUSA.
These things are easy to check. Just go to the Registrar of companies, or even check company profiles etc, you will see who the directors are. I hope under performing ministers are kicked out come 2016…..its not far off
Spot on….one needs to just walk in and access this information to ascertain whether the firm is connected to him or his business partners. GRZ should make this info accessible via internet.
I think people wouldn’t mind if a minister had links to the construction company but only if you finished the damn job! And quality roads please, not like the one constructed between Parklands and Nkana East that lasted only ONE rainy season and developed craters!
WHY MAKE NOISE HERE ?
THE ROADS DEPT IS AT STATE HOUSE .
EVERYTHING IS KNOWN.
They seem to be very satisfied with whatever they are doing, kankalidwe!
. Chingola is still backwards ,Ba Simuusa you have failed this city wa ba he tall ray re-obey
We live in a town which has the largest copper mining company in Zambia but with the worst road network in urban areas. We are sick and tired of the numerous assurances we have had but no progress in in regards to roads rehabilitation. I personally hold our two Chingola MPs responsible for such a development.
Can we have facts before we join in condemning Simuusa like the above unobjective fellers?lndeed my twon deserves better.
and going by numbers in the last general elections of 2011.Chingola came up with a high number of votes for PF. It seems all the Miners (Ba shi mine) voted for PF. So is this what you get in return?
ba simusa u r a let down and why is it that in its only in nchanga that a stretch of 4 km could take 2 yeas to complete
and the minister stays mute
it is not Simusa it is RDA.OPEN YOUR EYES.
MIVAMI IS A GOOD COMPANY JUST WAIT FOR GOOD FINISHING.IT is one of the best in South Africa not the temporally ROADS done by chines
For the kasompe – Barracks road 3 years have elapsed, and its still being worked on. please, road engineers is tha a normal occurance? And the MP (Dr Katema) in charge of this part of the constituence is fast asleep.wy dont you emulate the likes of Kambwili Chishimba? please we are tired of wallowing in dust. you must COMPLEET this road if you are planning on standing again to be voted.shame…
At least Dr Joseph Katema has admitted that he is not happy with the road contractor’s slow pace of working on the roads.Road Development Agency what is your comment?Mr Simuusa why are you defending this contractor when your friend is disappointed with the works. Honestly how does the contractor acquire the asphalt machine now?Who have them the contract because these are some of the things which RDA checks for in awarding contracts.
Rda can you comment.
Simusa you are a big let down. Before P.F was voted in you were saying that roads could not be done because you were an oposition MP. Now you are in the ruling party it has still become difficult for you to work. If I was in your boots I could have finished fast those projects to prove the past excuses for failure and make a good name. This could have been your best opportunity to win the hearts of people of chingola so that even if PF is voted out you could have spared yourself. Now you will be the first one to go you are on target. Prepare to go back to be mine captain in the mine. Just a look at his office surroundings, cental street where he stays and the surrounding at his house all leaves much to be desired. shame on this man
Mr Simusa you come to Chingola and you don’t even take this contracter to task. The MPAPA ROAD WHICH IS A SMALL STRENCH HAS BEEN WORKED ON FOR 2YRS.tHEY SMOOTHEN IT, DIG IT, SMOOTHEN IT AGAIN NOW ITS BEING DUG AGAIN WHAT’S HAPPENING. yOUR OWN STREET CENTRAL WHERE THIS CONTRACTOR IS CAMPING IS IN A MESS, THE ROAD TO kABUNDI HIGH SCHOOL IS TERRIBLE AND IS NOT PASSABLE EVEN TO PEDESTRIAN DURING RAIN SEASON, THE ROADS WITHIN KABUNDI TOWNSHIP ARE IMPASSIBLE, 2YRS IN THE RUN AND WE CAN’T SEE ANY PROGRESS.look AT nile road the main road in riverside there are trenches in the road.PLS LEARN FROM MR KAMBWILI OF LUANSHYA.We are very very disappointed with you. Most miners haven’t gotten the tittle deeds for the houses bought from ZCCM at the begning of this century what are you doing in…
Ba Simuusa kupusa bati
Why harangue the only Tonga cabinet minister?
Why judge Reeves and Wilbur on account of what they got from God: their ethinicity? God save the Tongas; our eyes are on you, Lord against these people who with hatred disparage, marginalise, insult and but for our wealth and industry would have dominated us.
Why are most PF Ministers Fat and Useless??
Chingola pipo remember there is only four months before the onset of rains and if roads are not finished then forget about Simusa`s promises those chaps will pack their machines and the cycle will start again next year until april/may. Two months ngatabapwile just stage a protest lwenu may be Simusa can Wake up. If you fear its your own problem coz you`ll talk and talk and no one will pay attention.
