Zimbabwe coach Klaus Pagels says the pressure is on Zambia to equal their Cosafa Cup record.
Zambia face Zimbabwe on July 20 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola looking to equal the Warriors’ four Cosafa Cup triumphs .
This will be the second successive time the two sides clash in a Cosafa Cup final after Zambia lost 3-1 in the 2009 final-the last time the tournament was held before a three year limbo due to operational problems.
“We want a positive result of course, but the match will be difficult for both teams,” Pagels said.
“There is more pressure for the Zambian team, because when there is a big crowd and you don’t score early, the pressure comes in and maybe we can capitalise on that.”
Go get ’em boys! You are champions of Africa!
Good morning fellow suffering country folk!
PLIZ NO FESTUS MBEWE ON THE TEAM SHEET, PERIOD.
Goncalves ,we are not your fellow suffering country folks, your problem is being too much in Zambia, if you move you will see and atleast see other pipo’s conditions ,that time you will not adress Zambians as suffering, dont use your mouth to worsen your own condition, there are countries out here who are suffering and yet they dont wash their dirty linen in public like you do.Also learn the bitter fact that PF will remain in power for the next three term ,i know its a bittter pill but learn to swallow it .As for MMD and UPND you and me know that they do not have the potential to win an election .So please its TIME for PF…..
@CJ, hi there my wealthy fellow Zambian. Long time since I last saw you let alone heard from you. Will you by any chance be on the Isle of Man to meet your bankers this summer? If you will please get in touch so that you join me on a Mediterranean cruise in my new Yacht!. She’s christened the Kristina Zambiana!
MMD , UPND…what the heck is that? Is it a new rap song? CJ are you a politician now that a simple and harmless good morning is turned into an emotionally charged political rant? Relax my friend. Its not good for your heart especially with those kilos in around your tummy!
CJ, Live Long and Prosper you stinking rich pig!
Easy guys easy. Let’s take a break from politics and enjoy some football here. Lets remember one important adage in all this:- ‘what connects us is greater than what separates us’ .
Festus Mbewe is not a striker,he is more of a defender,This is were we always differ with HR. Please read the game properly, we shall wire Zim zim.GO ZAMBIA GO
Can you substantiate your allegations please?
Thanks in advance
Pressure is on Zambia?? What pressure if I may ask. There is no pressure on Zambia at all to equal Zims record, Zambia will just play to win and that is that. I know for Zim this is like being at AFCON. Personally I do not give a crap if we do not win this COSAFA because the important point for Zed was to see if we could organise such a tournament and it seems we have done so. Next stop Kumasi to wire Ghana in their own backward in September. So ba Zim you can win CASOFA 20 times if you are comfortable with that, but just know that this will not make you a big team. You are a small team
No pressure on Zambia but on Zim-Zim!
