Saileti-Friendly diet has helped Nkana

Share

Nkana assistant coach Zeddy Saileti says friendly matches have helped his bench to keep the team in shape during the eight-weeks Kalampa has not seen FAZ Super Division action.

Second placed Nkana last played a league match on July 3 when they beat Power Dynamos 2-0 in the Week 14 big Kitwe derby in Wusakile.

Nkana contributed more than five players to the home based Zambia squad that was involved in the July COSAFA Senior Challenge Cup and the ended 2014 CHAN qualifiers.

Saileti said:”We have stayed for weeks without playing but we have been working hard in training.”

Nkana have played a litany of practice matches with lower division teams among them Nkwiza, Lumwana Radians, ROPS Academy and Mining Rangers.

“Almost every week we have been playing a friendly game to maintain the fitness of our players,” he said.

“Obviously it is hard for the team to stay for weeks without playing,” Saileti added.

The Kitwe giants have un-played matches against Red Arrows, Kalulushi Modern Stars and Forest Rangers.

Nkana, who are two points behind leaders Zesco United, have garnered 32 points from 14 matches.

The eleven-time league champions are this Saturday scheduled to face Green Buffaloes at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

    • Liberia students all fail university admission exam
Liberia’s education minister says she finds it hard to believe that not a single candidate passed this year’s university admission exam.
“I know there are a lot of weaknesses in the schools but for a whole group of people to take exams and every single one of them to fail, I have my doubts about that,” Ms David-Tarpeh said. “It’s like mass murder.”
“In English, the mechanics of the language, they didn’t know anything about it. So the government has to do something,” he said.
“The war has ended 10 years ago now. We have to put that behind us and become realistic.”

    • Mushota, you are just primitive. Zedi Saileti was once Zambia’s best go getters and played professional football in Finland with Mordon Malitoli for years before coming back to Zambia. Try to post on what your posting will be appreciated and not just being a danderhead on everything.

  1. this guy is still around and is nkana coach?! No wonder festus mbewe is a useless non performing striker. Those who can remember 1994 africa cup, this is the guy the english commentator used to refer to as ”what a number 9.” he is just threatening to score.”

  2. last season the same guy you are talking about is the one who was in charge of nkana after they fired linos makwaza. and the team performed better ask kalampa supporters before you comment.

  3. we not talking about managing a club. His performance at international level was worse than festus mbewe’s,now imagine, a player worse than festus mbewe.

  4. Don’t talk much when you have watched less, Saileti was a Nkana football club and Zambia National team player before he went to Finland. How come some one is claiming Saileti to have come from no where.

  5. Anyway, lets not embarrass our beautiful lady, Mushota. May be she was not there. Bamushota, you can ask if you dont no someone in order for you not to be imbarraced like that. But Saileti was one of the known prolific strikers especially after we lost the entire team in Gabon. PLIZ!!!!!!!!
