Ruling PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has defiantly responded to calls for his resignation by stating that only President Sata could remove him from his post.

Some low level officials in PF in Lusaka Province with obvious backing from the endorsement camp led by Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba have spent the entire week protesting against Mr. Kabimba.

The protests reached fever pitch Friday lunch time when scores of protestors marched through Lusaka Central Business District denouncing Mr. Kabimba and repeating their calls for him to step down.

They claim that he has failed to provide leadership to the ruling party and that he is conspiring with Post Newspaper Editor in Chief Fred M’Membe to bring down Mr. Sata’s presidency.

But Mr. Kabimba said in a phone interview that no one in PF could force him to step down from his post except President Sata.

“I will not resign. Why should I resign?”

“Tell those that are protesting that they are wasting their time. I was appointed by His Excellency President Sata and he is the only one who will remove me from this position,” Mr Kabimba vowed.

He added, “They should petition the appointing authority, first they should go to the police and obtain a permit that they will want to petition the appointing authority, for me, I serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.”

Mr Kabimba said the happenings in Lusaka do not represent the true picture of his leadership countrywide.

“There are 150 constituencies in Lusaka the country and one cannot be concerned about one constituency, the PF is bigger than Lusaka,” he said.

    • Rewind 2001 during Chiluba’s third term bid, when Hone students blocked the roads and he was forced to re-enter Lusaka by helicopter. Chiluba said”….who is Lusaka? when you see what is happening in Lusaka you would think the whole country is burning, but it is not…………”

He gave the boys a false flag in form of opportunities to soil themselves carelessly with corrupt deals, the likes of M’membe trapped in big loans to buy a fleet of trucks. They have been blacklisted and now its time to give them Kalela consistent with Sata’s playbook. He is not a leader but a typical politician. Watch unfolding theatrics.

  21. State house is definitely behind all these shenanigans. Should the President yield to GBM’s madness then PF will have had it. GBM may have bankrolled PF and might even have in possession too much information about the President’s dealings prior and after his ascendency to the ‘throne’ but by all means Sata needs to keep a safe distance away from this sack of maize .

  23. Wynter take this experience and humble yourself. On the other hand, it appears as if Sata is indirectly asking you to step down. Therefore, you need to start using your IQ to analyses what is happening.
     
    GBM is doing this with the blessing of Sata. That fact cannot be denied. Unfortunately, you cannot serve two masters. You have to choose between Mmembe & Sata.

    Sata has given you the present job as Justice Minister. Mmembe is promising you the future in becoming the president. The later will not be feasible because you are not an electable material and a lot of people don’t like you inside PF, because you have become too big headed and trivial.

Masebo can be flashed down the toilet very easily and Sata will have nothing to loose. In fact Bembas like Kambwili protected Lubinda and they were partially successful otherwise Lubinda would have been expelled if this was left to Kabimba alone. He mentions support from branches around the country as though he has won any constituency. He uses the cadres only when it suits him. Then, he believed in them only because he was using them to defend himself.
