“You are a danger to the nation”, PF cadres tell off Wynter Kabimba
Scores of ruling PF cadres marched through Lusaka Central Business District blocking mid-day traffic denouncing Party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba.
The cadres wearing PF regalia marched from Freedom Way into Cairo road before assembling at the party’s Lusaka District Offices near Millennium Bus stop.
Some of the cadres carried placards that read, “Wynter, You are danger to the nation, go away.”
Some of the cadres interviewed said Mr. Kabimba should step down with immediate effect before he destroys the party any further.Others called on President Sata to immediately find a replacement for Mr. Kabimba as party Secretary General.
They said Mr. Kabimba and Post Newspaper Editor in Chief Fred M’Membe has been conspiring to take over the presidency of the party.
At the district offices, the cadres were addressed by Interim Lusaka District Chairman Robert Chikwelete who called for unity in the party.
But Mr. Kabimba said in a phone interview that the cadres are being used by enemies of the PF.He said the cadres are being paid to cause confusion in the party.
“Those are just people bought to cause confusion in the party. We are united. If they were genuine members of the party, they would have followed procedure, they should know that the correct procedure involves writing to the President who shall then table the matter before Central Committee,” Mr Kabimba said.

A cobra with no vernom! The President needs to sort the party confusion and he has to address the nation on the numerous events that have happened. Keeping quiet is not progressive.. It makes some of us wonder who is behind the steer wheel.

What goes round comes round. When the cadres were matching to hound Lubinda, the words of caution to remind the membership to follow procedure were no where to be heard. Today, as Kabimba is being force fed his own medicine, he is crying out fowl. To bad this rogue “lion” has already tasted human flesh in the name of Lubinda and now the “lion” has smelt your blood. I wonder if your circus magic will work in taming this “man eater”.
In as much as everyone is hipping the blame on kabimba the truth is, he is not the final authority…Sata is!! in a normal functional government with a normal functional president this issue would have been dealt with. Bloggers as yourselves these questions? Where does Kabimba get the courage to do what he is doing ? Why is the president silent? Why is the president not holding any press conference to explain let alone dispel any involvement in what is happening ? these are some of the pertinent questions we need to be asking ourselves.

That is why I keep saying Kabimba is hard on principles and not ignorant as G.B.M. I like the man Kabimba because some times I can make sense from what he speaks. But what GBM speaks is absolutely rubish.
But this chap GBM is holding Sata to ransom over financial assistance he rendered. Remember GBM helped him out when there was an issue of $500,000 money laundering and two motor vehicles seized from SATA and his wife by DEC when he was in apposition.
GBM lied that he is the one who gave him the cash. This could be the reason we have GBM being so big headed in PF and Sata can’t do anything. Let him touch GBM and you will see what will happen to him.

Where were the police.Did these people get a police permit? I remember a lone UPND official being arrested for carrying out a lone protest in the name of disturbing peace.Now these PF cadres blocked mid day traffic and the police didn’t react? You even go on to vormit that Kabimba is riding on the back of PF. Kabimba has been Secretary General of PF since before the 2011 elections. He organised PF to win elections, at the time when Sata was already sick and tired. Muletasha. If you want to chase him out of office on tribal basis just do so and openly say it – we know you for that and we will accept. But please don’t stand there with fake analysis condeming him!! Anyway, you will soon remember him. 2016 is coming and the opposition have started winning elections. GBM went to Mkaika, f.u.c.k.e.d up things, and lost the by-election.

@Simon,I wonder how this Bemba thing comes in?!It is important to gather facts rather than condemn an ethnic group without facts! If you had followed events, you know that the tiff between Kabimba and GBM started a few months after PF got into power. There were allegations of abuse of power and corruption from both sides concerning ZESCO and Trafigura contracts for supply of poles and fuel respectively!
I am not a PF cadre but I can say at NO time have PF supporters said only “Bembas can lead that party!”So the matter of Kabimba being used and later purged to leave the party to Bembas does not arise.
Running a political party on tribalism is never going to help especially when demographics do not favour certain ethnic groups! There is strength in inclusiveness and being factual!
Simon, remember the One Zambia One Nation. It is very rare to find one tribe as a NATION, the world over. AS I SEE THINGS, Wynter’s only mistake is belonging to the wrong tribe. There are two people who are a danger to the nation: Michael Sata for hiding in State House instead of taking steps to quell the implosion, and GBM for being a busy body who, intead of concentrating on his ministerial job, is busy trotting the length and breadth of the country spearheading the endorsement of a man who still has a long way to go.
