Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkandu Luo says government will not be forced to Gazzette Henry Kanyatta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people.
Professor Luo told Parliament today in response to a question by Lubansenshi member of parliament Patrick Mucheleka who wanted to know why government has not recognized the newly installed Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.
Professor Luo says she will not dance to the tune of the media or the public with regards the Gazetting of the new Chitimukulu who she referred to as gentleman.
She says gazzeting of Chiefs is not automatic.
She adds that as Minister she will not act outside the law.
Professor Luo further stated that any Chief who has not been gazzetted by the President and is performing the functions of Chief is going against the law.

Prof. Luo is just reacting to audio recordings by the Bemba Chiefs. One of them singled out Luo as the most mischievous PF Minister whom they do not want to see step into Bembaland.
Bemba Chiefs are NOT interested in the Chiefs allowances that prompt the PF to interfere in their chiefdoms. Next move will come from Nsengas to re-instate Snr. Chief Kalindawalo in Petauke – a factor that spells doom for PF in Petauke.

Since when did the traditional leaders seek permission to do their traditions from the govt? Luo should know that those traditions have always been there even before the govt was formed in Zambia. Please Luo stop this confusion with your confused PF. Leave the traditional leaders alone, they simply inform you of what is happening and you have no right whatsoever to decide or reject their decision of who they want to have as their leader.
