Ruling PF National Youth Chairperson Chishimba Kambwili has charged that the PF is a dead party.
Mr. Kambwili noted that the persistent wrangles that have rocked the party have divided it.
Mr. Kambwili who is also Sports and Youth Minister has reminded party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba that the cadres he used to persecute Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda have today turned against him.
He accused Mr. Kabimba of perpetuating indiscipline in the PF.
“PF is dead, this party is dead because of the infighting going on. We are losing by elections because of the disunity in the party,” Mr Kambwili said.
Mr. Kambwili has since demanded that Mr. Kabimba apologizes to Mr. Lubinda for ill-treating him and ensure that he instills discipline in the party.
He has also advised Mr. Kabimba to stop his supporters from endorsing him for 2016.
“Just yesterday we heard his supporters were on Radio Icengelo endorsing him for 2016, last week it was from Solwezi and this has to stop. I’m telling him to stop the endorsements because they are the source of the confusion,” he said.
Mr Kambwili added, ” We only have one candidate for 2016 and another five year term and that is Michael Sata.”

This implosion taking place in PF is tricky one indeed. It puts Sata in a very precarious position. @Engineer, the Cabinet comprises the President, VP, Full Ministers and the AG. Deputy Ministers are not members of the Cabinet. You can add to the list Bob Sichinga, FCCA who has a professional qualification may be equivalent to a BA. So 16 of 22 have some respectable qualification. The number increases if you add some deputy ministers. It is even longer when some ordinary PF MPs are included.
The issue that was in dispute was that Kabwili only attained 3rd Grade level education, which is not true based on the records at the National Assembly and on which he took oath of office.
@Mop if all those you’ve listed have degrees then i shan’t aspire for one. All the things happening in pf and people who have high iq are behaving worse off than cadres then i would rather be a cadre. I mean who in this world would have thought we have educated people in cabinet? Well not me!

I tend to differ slightly with you comment. Kabimba has the most difficult position in the party and he can be easily liked and hated especially when it has to instilling discipline. If Given was found guilty should he not have been disciplined just like any other member? Maybe the manner in which the discipline was mated might have been wrong. Kabimba as SG knows that in the name of democracy you don’t promote issues of sole candidates because the party does not belong to one person, this is what GBM seems to be missing. Down deep his heart Kabimba might be for Sata for 2016 but as SG it would be wrong for him to suggest or even champion that. That’s why there is a process (party constitution) of getting to be a Presidential candidate.
PF you need to realise that you are like a body with many parts, each part makes it own contributions, some are good at mobilising people others are good at legal issues while other are good at shepherding. Don’t think that because you are now in office you don’t need certain people this kind of mentality will backfire on you. Celebrate your differences and use it to build the party. You can take out Kabimba or GBM today but that will only weaken the party because each one of them has his own following.
The effects of disunity in the PF are much more serious and will soon be felt by all Zambians. This is so because the PF is the ruling party and there is no way the government can function smoothly when top leaders have abandoned their jobs to concentrate on personal survival in the in-fighting.

PF came to power without structure operations being proven. At the national convention, it was all superficial. They just went in without any contestations and came out just to cheat everybody that they had a convention. All leaders are appointed. Loyalty is to the president only and not to the party structures. Kabimba should have raised these issues long time ago as SG since he claimed does not look over somebody shoulder. Cadres are behaving like this because structures and procedures that are supposed to be used are not there in PF. They have never been followed. Kabimba was just appointing people consolidating himself just like the president is doing.

@barbedwire,I wonder if all struggles and differences in Zambia are going to be interpreted through the lenses of tribes(tribalism)- I prefer to call it ethnicity. GBM had differences with the Post over the ZESCO saga and people say Kabimba is a friend of the post. When Kabimba had issues with the ACC over the oil deal he mobilised cadres to escort him to ACC for questioning then when Lubinda had a case in the Party,cadres demonstrated against Lubinda. So which tribe was using these cadres on two occasions? As SG ,Kabimba is expected to have more cadres on his side as he earlier demonstrated so why the change now? It appears it is more a matter of personal differences and tactic rather than ethnicity being played at party level. We all don’t like what is going but its too early to…

I can see two powerful camps here: The President’s camp comprising GBM, Cikwanda, Kambwili etc and Wynter’s comprising Masebo, Membe, Chumbwe and the rest. The Kabimba camp wanted to position Wynter for President when they learnt Sata was unwell. The Bemba clique saw the danger and told Sata what was going on. Sata could not fire wynter because Wynter is vocal and fearless and has the backing of Membe so he uses GBM to wreck havock in Wynter’s camp. President Sata is fully behind the current confusion in the PF today. How else can u explain Sata coming out in full support of Chikwelete who has issues with his SG? Isn’t supposed to back his SG and not this cadre in the name of chikwelete?

No need to demonise someone. Kambwili is being a man and true to himself as always. PF DEAD. Awe kwena… this is too early to imagine.
Apple hired some guys off the street to stand in a line in California at the launch of the iPhone 5S to show the public that it was a good phone and worth spending on. Little did Apple realise that these guys were from the street and in no time had started fighting. This caught the attention of the cops and thwarted the whole thing. It was embarrassing for Apple. Is it also embarrassing for PF?
Could it be true that there is no opposition in Zambia? Judging by the inaction of the opposition parties, at a time they are supposed to seize the opportunity and really go flat out and win hearts, they are dozing. It looks like Mr. Sata has told the truth probably for the first time in many decades. The PF has pooped all over the place and it’s own senior members are openly confessing that the party is no more. The opposition is still farting on the sidelines uncertain how to capitalise on this situation.
You will be amazed at how much of whats happening in PF is from external influence…

I haven’t read the PF constitution but in the situation that the party finds itself, democracy demands that the party calls an extra ordinary convention and let all those at the center of this feud seek a fresh mandate from party delegates. I don’t really like Kabimba as an individual but the office he represents cannot just be treated that way. If he is hounded out of office just like that, by party carders, who knows who will be next?Which office gates are likely to be welded next?
I am now more than certain that this party, PF is winding up it’s operations. Shall we all cry out for our money the 14b it owes the republicans. Am sure that this money is not owed by the few, but by PF. Bring it ono ono.

Indeed PF is dead. Problems started when (1) Kabimba organised youths to hound Given Lubinda from the Cabinet; then (2) Kabimba turned his guns to publicly attack GBM – a senior PF Minister; in the process Kabimba went on rampage to accuse GBM of being a traitor for conniving with the Banshilubemba against Sata. This made Sata carelessly wage the undeclared war with the Bemba Royal Establishment whose subjects constitute the core of support for PF and the majority members of the Catholic Church. Such complex dynamics will lead to the collapse of the PF. Only time will tell.
The PF killer is Wynter Kabimba himself. In desperation, as PF cadres harass him, Kabimba who works as an insider will do more damage to PF.
