The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) has been urged to restore intraparty unity and serve as an example to other political parties in upholding democratic values within its party structures.

This follows the rivalry that has emerged in the party’s Lusaka district leadership with two rival groups claiming legitimacy over the other despite President Michael Sata calling for an end to the creation of parallel structures in ruling party.

Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza said the ruling party is expected to exhibit unity following the guidance given by the party and republican President.

Reverend Mwanza said maintaining intraparty unity is important not only for the strength of the party but also in order to translate such unity to the nation as well.

He also noted the need for the party hierarchy of the PF to pay attention to the concerns and complaints the general membership has raised especially if such complaints or concerns are made against particular members of the party.

Rev. Mwanza told QFM News that this is one way the PF can further foster unity structures.

all these THUGS want PLOTS and control Zambia which I believe Wynter is against. They want to be allocating plots and doing all sorts of illegal activities with the blessings of the party secretary General which he has refused to allow.

Rember Lusaka politics is about eating and not serving. Wynter has denied them this thuggery and this is the more reasons they are up against him.

Reverend I appreciate your concerns but where there is greedy, there cannot be intraparty democracy. What we have is a hired gruop of thugs interested in criminal activities & will not take such advice.All they want is some one they considers a hindracy to their thuggery of sharing land and other criminal activities out of the party.

Not even God himself can save PF from this hell that has broken out inside it! I mean, the PF is now like hell complete with a SataN at the helm of the confusion. For all I care, they can all go rot in hell.

The problem is the President himself!!! In my humble view his statement on the issue raises more questions than answers. He should have been forthright with the nation by stating whether it is Chikwelete or Goodson Banda who is District Chairman. Just saying stop forming parralle structure was not enough!! Both camps now are saying they are the legitimate group. On this one I am sure even the most hard PF cadre on this blog is lost!!!
