    • Never expected any better, and although you’ll call it MERE RHETORIC, here are some of the reasons why our soccer may continue sliding downwards:1. Before any coach takes their job serious the FAZ president must do so first. Football house cannot be run from South Africa. Imagine what the state of affairs would be in the country if the head of state were a Zambian living in the diaspora? 2. Our soccer officials should pay the boys decent allowances for playing these friendly games, which I understand have become a self-enrichment scheme for football administrators – to the misery of the players. 3. Part of any national coach’s Key Performance Indicators in the contract should be to continue improving the team’s results from game to game in any competition & also improve our FIFA…

    • From a PE Teacher to an assistant PE Teacher. Kalusha is a jocker to suggest we employ Patrice on a permanent contract.

No more nchekeleko, let’s get a REAL COACH for a change. Fire Patrice now, beside he never had a contract as a Coach.

    • The problem Zambia has is the GOALKEEPER. If anyone who knows how to catch football, study those goals on Youtube… all goals can be blamed at MWEENE.
The coach Patrice is the best, he is courageous to start with exciting team with: Bruce, Kola, Felix, Fwayo… all who are fighting for recognition in national team, and abroad to scouts.
Again, its time to look for a better goalkeeper… the immediate answer will Danny Munyao, he hasn’t allowed any goal yet.

    • I feel the Coach should have started with the patch up works before furnishing the house with brighter paints.
I mean lets enforce or sharpen our striking force before going for bigger tests

  1. wil zis team ever make something that wil mek us happy? let them stop going out 4 games they ar jsm waiting money maloose apaka let them rest we start afresh selecting the team involve me on a serious not jokes aside

    • We need a new coach. I strongly suggest Roger de Sa (Orlando Pirates coach) or Manu Garba (U17 Nigerian coach). There’s no team, senior or junior, club or national that plays good and clean football as the Nigeria U17. I really believe that either of these coaches would come with the hunger and management that would bring us respectable silverware.

  2. with FAZ kaili ni Muzungu this PE teacher, Zambia is very cheap for foreigners. FAZ has seen something we cant see hence the need to confirm him.

    • When you wake up tomorrow you’ll be witnessing GRZ conferring PERMANENT RESIDENCE STATUS on this so-called coach, and ANOTHER of our charcoal black babes walking by his side – anyway ni business abaice HAHAHA!

  3. Truly fellow Zambians where you expecting a win. that is too much for a team which never trained together not even a day. Eygpt are serious training for Ghana meaning they are at their best while we are at our worst. therefore a normal thinking person would not base the performance of a coach on such basis.

    • @Ceaser Banda, for a team preparing for such a crucial match as Egypt is to play against a team they understand to be at its lowest would be seriously irresponsible and a waste of time and resources. These guys have it in their minds that Chipolopolo is one of Africa’s best teams. It would also be silly of us to simply be availing ourselves as tools for enhancing other countries’ winning stats and FIFA Rankings. Confidence in competitive Matches and tournaments stems from confidence at training sessions and in friendly games, so we shouldn’t be having these games as tourism ventures.

    • I am a professional Coach in athletics but also know a lot about the technical know how when it comes to building players. Zambian soccer coaches might like in certain area but combine a professional Zambian to help the coach technically, the resuIts will quickly be seen. Most of us have done sports science/medicine which some of these PE teachers you are calling coaches have not. Until we start recognising Zambians and pay them accordingly, we will always be employing unqualified and less knowledgeable coaches just because of their skin. Why are we not capitalising on our talents?

  4. I now believe the prophesy of our prophete TZ Banda that if we don’t get new administration at faz Zambia will always be at the tail, and that we need to have a coach who is good at defense and striking ,Rena was a good.people of our great nation thus said The Lord lets pray for revival of our team and see change in administration at faz that’s when we will see Zambia exele.

  5. Heed our advice. Bring in serious strikers and a new technical and management team. FAZ executive has outlived its usefulness.

  6. This 35 year old coach started with Mayuka,Sate Sate,Chivuta and Mbesuma on the bench! Can u believe that!He dropped Kalaba! Why was the second half better?Kalusha is insulting all former Zambian internationals by having this Patrice as a coach. You mean all past internationals cant coach Zambia ?And be coached by a 35 year old?Even Ucar didnt coach Zambia at 35?Wake up Zambians.Kalu is up to no good.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

    • It’s not the age that coaches brother but the knowledge. Even Klinsmann started coaching at a very tender age. We just need the right combination and we have a lot of qualified Zambians based abroad who can help our local coaches on technicalities such as building and conditioning players. There’s me and others in the USA, Prof Oscar Mwanga in UK, Sensei Chilembo in Norway and a whole bunch of Zambian professionals that have started sports science that could help our local coaches such as Patrick Phiri, Fighton Simukonda, Keegan Mumba, Beston Chambeshi, Masauso Mwale, young Tenant Chilumba to name but a few. Give us the respect and chance and you will see what we can do for the country’s sports.

  7. Johannesburg and Lusaka are 2 hours flight apart. In America Washington DC can be 6 hours’ flight to another state. RSA and Zambia if it was a big country could basically be in one place. Duh! We know what you are trying to say tho’ somebody took away your wife. He is in FAZ and you have the right to hate him!

  8. International friendly this was a waist of time knowing we have a a lot of issues to resolve until then lets stop embarrassing ourselves…

  9. I wasn’t expecting s victory but 3 games without scoring a goal is a disaster
Time to look for Frank Rykaad as our new coach

  10. we have tried Zambian coaches before and even with better players, we never went far. We need an international standard Coach. The current crop of local coaches are even failing to get us beyond Orlando Pirates!

    Let’s face reality.

  11. iliko bad! goal drought yachita over! Find another serious coach, this Bermuda will be using the same HR failed players and tactics.

  12. Patrice has failed and he is very far from becoming a real coach. We don,t have time for experiments, fire him or if you like the man let him coach your children at home.

  13. Kalu, is a thorn in the flesh, we need him, I its not necessarily his skills but his connections.his shrewd, unfortunately his quite poor at administration,When a white guy (Sepp Blatter) behaves like an African you know there are problems in football.Lets face it we don’t have the talent so we need a coach that is tactful so as to minimize looses.Brazil’s game for a smart coach was a draw, the zambian side did not know how to mark set plays hence brazil looked a better side. Learn from the Ugandan coach en-route to SA 2013. he made sure he minimized the lose in Zambia and punished Zambia in Uganda, fortunately mwene saved the day

    • I agree with you. The problem is kalu. Thou he is the best footballer Zambia has ever produced the man is a flop when it comes to football administration. He is concentrating too much on the national team and international matches instead of building our soccer right from the grassroot. His i know it all attitude and running our football by remote control from South Africa, especially after winning the 2012 AFCON, is frustrating the efforts being made by other stake holders. The current FAZ administration needs to go. Kalu and his team has achieved all they could, its time we had new faces at Football house. I was so disappointed to see those silly goals by Eqypt.

  14. patrice is not a coach as far as i know.he was a kit master for renar.wakusunga a ma jersey kikikikikikiki.patrice was being paid by renar and not the gorv.and the deputy coach was masauso mwale not patrice.we are rushing no were lets employ a qualified coach.

  15. Next time FAZ should arrange a friendly game with??….kaja ka team kanaluza 11-0 kuli Spain na 6-1 kuli Nigeria.Am sure we can draw with it and redeem our egos;-).or we get a real coach not ako kamufana.

  16. The problem we have is not Patrice alone. Patrice is a simple character in the equation, What we need to do is to re visit our local league. It’s high time the local leagues employed real coaches like was the norm during the days of ZCCM. They should employ coaches who will uplift the standards locally. Once the standards are high, it will show on the international stage. Currently the local league is not worth watching like before. Thats where we need to focus first, once that is taken care of, patrice will faze himself out.

    • To achieve what I just said, the club owners need to come to the party. They need to invest in these areas, football has become big world over the more and wiser you invest the better the rewards. I think we have a right to watch good sports in the country.

  17. Get rid of Kalusha. Why does he want to confirm this coach? Does he get a cut from these coaches? Government always pays for the chipolopolo coach. Why can’t FAZ look for a better coach? Even Renard did not build the team that won the Africa Cup.

  18. Our strikers are not very sharp since that time we won afcon our performance has been very poor don’t blame a coach we were given 3 points for loosing the game against Sudan but we failed to qualify to the world cup.

  19. Just an assignment compare the technical benches of Brazil,Spain,England,Argentina,Germany to that of Zambia. What do you notice?

  20. Useless it has now become normal for Zambia to lose, Kalusha should get serious with this nonsense of appointing every rubbish as coach. the guys are not just serious
