We strongly advise government as Zambia Republican Party to disband ministry of gender and Kaseba ministry immediately and channel the money towards developmental project such as the construction of roads, schools and hospitals in stead of resorting to employment freeze when we have shortage of Nurses and doctors in Zambia.

I cannot believe that in a country where a single doctor is attending to almost 2000 patients, this government can come up with employment freeze. Is president Sata and his PF government serious about creating employment when they are coming up with employment freeze; extend retirement age from 55 years old to 65 years old and appointing very old people at the expense of young professionals?

Employment freeze is not the best way to go, but what the government must do is to do away with ministries that do not have multiplier effect such as the ministry of gender and the huge allocation to the office of the first lady.

Ministry of gender was established with a wrong motive. The reason why late president Levy Mwanawasa created it was to appease women and blindfold people into thinking that he was creating women participation in government, but you see that was a very wrong thing to do because we still continued to have women in other government ministries and departments. And after establishing ministry of gender, has the cry for more women participation stopped? The answer is a big NO!

So if President Mwanawasa wanted to create a lot of women participation, he should have mandated his party to adopt a lot of women folk to stand as counselors as well as member of parliament or ministers.

Are we also ready to create men ministry? As for the allocation to the office of the first lady, whatever you call it, it is a drain on Government I don’t care whether it was taken to parliament. That’s broad daylight robbery and if PF fails to stop it, when we come in to office as Zambia Republic Party, we will make these ministers to account. There’s no doubt Kaseba uses that huge allocation to campaign for Sata and PF, the thing that Sata also strongly condemned when he was in opposition.
I’m even sure even those same honorable MPs that pushed for Kaseba ministry, did so only to please president Sata and not because they felt that it was a good thing to do. You cannot spend tax payer’s money that carelessly.

The REPUBLICANs are back!

  1. ine iyi government yalimpesha namano i live a very dissapointend citizen! they way we celebrated thier victory kwati Yesu aikila ukufuma kumulu but what they are giving back to the electorate hmm its an eye sore!

  2. Foolishness why disband and send people in streets those you want to disband are your brothers and sisters where do you want to take them

  3. I am now wondering whether the media is just focused on reporting negatives or indeed there is not good thing in this working gvt??????

    • My son , just watch ZNBC and you will see how serious this govt is. I have never seen such magnitude of infrastructure development for a long time. Ba Mambala balebomba.

  4. Please spare us this nonsense ba LT! There are much better stories (local & International) you can post on your site than annoying drivel from this time waster!

  5. ZRP is talking to stoneage mentality leaders whose only focus is to be effective politically.Effective economics is an alien concept thats why after 40yrs work they can only boast 7 guns and a cressida.

  6. JEALOUSY ?

    WE HAVE HAD VERA-CHILUBA AND
MAURENE-MWANAWASA DUBIOUS ORGANIZATIONS WHICH WERE NOTHING BUT CONDUITS THROUGH WHICH MAFIAS AND INDIANS USED TO GAIN EASY ACCESS TO THE HEAD OF STATE USING ILLICIT DONATIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS WHICH WERE RUN BY FIRST LADIES IN THE NAME OF CHARITY.

THE ORGANIZATIONS BECAME DEFUNCT AND THEIR EMPLOYEES DISAPPEARED AS SOON AS THE INCUMBENT LEFT OFFICE. THEY WERE NOT REAL.

THIS PRESIDENT KNOWS TOO WELL ABOUT THOSE CHARITABLE COMPANIES.
HE WOULD RATHER DEAL WITH AND SERVE THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE FORTH RIGHTLY.

  7. A point of correction. Zambia’s doctor/patient ratio is 1:25,000!!!! and not the 2,000 in the article. Country men, development is not the same as infrastructure development. We could have the roads, universities, clinics etc but has our quality of life improved?

    • In life there are efforts and there are results. He who would accomplish little need to sacrifice little, he who would achieve much must sacrifice much. He who would attain highly must sacrifice greatly. There can be no progress nor achievement without sacrifice.
We need better infrastructure as engine of development. Dr Kaseba is doing a better job and its out of love. Vera chiluba and Maureen Mwanawasa were on distributing salaula.

    • Pio, you are right!! SHE ONLY STARTED LOVING ZAMBIANS AFTER MOVING TO PLOT 1!!
She even loves them more, that when her husband appoints her relatives, THE DOCILE ZEDIANS Simply say “we wilu waity folo Twente sixixshtini!!”

  8. Mickey mouse parties! Though your timely advise is good I doubt if it will be taken seriously. How do you advise a dictator, the only language a dictator undestands is either a coup or mass disobedience which zambians cant do. They love kabwali too much. So the status quo continues, wining and some more wining but nothing done!

  9. But ba Sata’s Old Age Diaper mwalifulunga, how can you even start talking about quality of life without roads, universities, clinics and other infrastructure?

  10. This what is called big government. Why can’t you move this ministry and put it under another ministry as a branch, instead of creating a separate ministry called Gender. It has been longtime since l have been home. Ministry of Gender. A big joke. I agree this is wasting money. Zambia is not in the position of creating useless ministries when there are millions of people in the country wallowing in poverty.

  11. @ republicans are back. You are more of a facebook president than a party president ba King.I see more of your posts on fb than anywhere else.

    • @Zebige
Surely I quickly did a search for the republicans on FB. followed by 167(possible likely supporters or voters worldwide),
and the man past through the below mentioned institute of training after studying in England?
      “Global Rescue Mission Company”
Also liked by “10 people like this”

      WHAT A JOKER.

  12. Is it true that the recently appointed ambassador to Turkey is young sister to Mrs Sata and is it also true that the new ambassador to China appointed last week is a niece to Mrs Sata?

  13. What a useless article that reflects very shallow thinking and a lack of understanding of the issues. In short, a serious waste of time and space.

    • What do expect from such a person who past through Global Rescue Mission Company” and he claims of having studied in UK. JOKERS and wasting people’s time

    • I agree! I am not PF fan but the writer of this article sounds so ignorant. I could not get through the whole thing nor take the little I read seriously. I wonder what his and his party’s ideologies are.

  14. Back from where and as if u have written senseble things? Jeasous u demons! Those of u criticising de infrustracture development must be sick.Imwe ngamuleshetafye, mulelapula ifyakulya dat’s development?Dat’s y Zed z a bush after 50 years of idpence.

  15. I wish Mr Sata is the one that took over from KK.Even in Chawama tarmac ninjikata,go to kanyama and other shants it is the same. Go into the rural areas it is the same.Kanshi imwe ba demons u don’t c? U re not being sincere. Go,go,go Pf.VIVA SATA!

  16. please PF cadres look at the heading and stop criticizing aimlessly . the man talks about saving money which is foreign to PF, right now the country is getting in debt
that calls for cost cutting measures like getting rid of minor ministries, not forgetting
Kaseba huge allocation, there is a ministry responsible for most of the stuff she does, it will be more honorable and i will respect her if she was using her own money than poor Zambian people’s monies. PF alone won’t develop the country there also many other key players in the game so lets consider every suggestion than being dismissive.

  17. ZRP, cere dalo, 51 % population are women, 65 % of Zambia’s population live in the rural areas and engage in subsistence farming. 72 % of subsistence farmers are women. Less than 30% of women in Zambia own titled land. These are the issues that the ministry is trying to address.

    • The Gender statistics being thrown around are not so bad that they should warrant the maintenance of a full ministry! Moreover, if it were not for females getting themselves pregnant early in life, the gender disparities would not be so bad.

  18. Ela no one forces you to read LT go and read znbc news paper if you dont like what you are seeing keep the kaponya cadre behaviour of blind flowing very dull indeed, lusaka time great job exposing these thugs

  19. May god help your ignorance. You are so full of yourself and cannot see what is good for mother zambia. Viva gender ministry and thumbs to doctor kaseba our mother who is smart!!!!!
