PATRIOTIC Front (PF) national youth chairperson Chishimba Kambwili has warned that Luanshya Central member of Parliament (MP) Steven Chungu and two district officials risk being expelled from the party for alleged indiscipline.
But Mr Chungu said he is not moved by Mr Kambwili’s threat to expel him and vowed to remain loyal to President Sata.
Speaking when he addressed PF Luanshya district, constituency and ward officials on Sunday, Mr Kambwili alleged that Mr Chungu, who is also PF Luanshya district chairman, his deputy Patrick Maipambe and vice publicity secretary Charles Mulenga will be expelled from the party for allegedly causing confusion.
Mr Kambwili, who is Minister of Youth and Sport, also warned members not to fall prey to the alleged confusion among PF leaders in Luanshya or risk being “sieved” from the PF.
“We are doing politics differently and not like in the MMD, we have to respect the grass roots. President Sata has told us to respect the grass roots. I am warning defectors not to bring confusion in PF,” Mr Kambwili said in apparent reference to Mr Chungu, who defected from the MMD to join PF in 2007.
“I am warning Mr Maipambe, Chungu and Mulenga that they have to stop causing problems or they will be expelled,” Mr Kambwili said.

He reminded members to remain loyal to President Sata.
But Mr Chungu said he is guided by the principles of the PF which entail loyalty to President Sata.
“My being quiet for a long time is not a sign of weakness; it is a sign of maturity. I am not in competition with him [Mr Kambwili], I am just fulfilling my campaign promises to the people of Luanshya Central. He thought I would be his tail. I refuse to be intimidated and because I refused, he accuses me of causing disunity in the party,” Mr Chungu said.
He added: “I have no reason to cause disunity. I have just refused to support his presidential ambitions.”
Mr Chungu alleged that Mr Kambwili has been telling people that President Sata has endorsed him to take over the leadership of the party when he steps aside at the end of his term of office.

A sign of poor leadership at the top and for the first time, and it is really painful people, I have to aggree and be on the same side as the rogue Wynter Kabimba when he says that PF is the most indisciplned party in the history of Zambian politics. He was right and I feel bad to be on the same side with that draft constitution thief.

When a country goes to the poll without giving serious consideration to calibre of people to elect, it results in a FOOL being voted PRESIDENT. Consequently a dangerous precedent is created which makes EVERY OTHER FOOL think they TOO are presidential material. This is what we are seeing in Kambwili. This Kambwili wants to be everything. He has seen ARROGANCE and THUGERY in boss, and because he too has these attributes he thinks it qualifies him for the highest office in the land. When you have a GRANDFATHER like him clinging on to the position of party YOUTH CHAIRPERSON it says a lot about his appetite for power, but what he doesn’t know is that the last election was the LAST TIME that Zambians voted a physically and/or mentally sick person as president!!!!!!

President Sata does not want to gazette Chitimukulu who has been installed by Bashilubemba, thus asking for big trouble. When Emmanuel Kasonde & BY resigned from MMD Gov. Chiluba destroyed their business. Now it is PF destroying the business of GBM. MMD failed to give us a new constitution, but PF is no longer interested in giving us people’s driven constitution. More contracts are given to PF cadres. Is that fair? This kind of spirit is dire.

Chishimba Kambwili? This is the guy I once found at the Chingola Central Police station, sitting on the floor behind the charge desk, having been caught with computers allegedly stolen from the KCM mine premises. He had been told to ‘chosa nsapato and belt’ by the police and was being processed to be locked-up. I tell you people, this guy’s background is fraught with scandals. People in chingola will remember him as a loud mouth and a thief.
Yet, this is the guy that has the audacity to intimate that he is material for president of the country. The problem with Zambians is that we forget very easily.

Kambwili is some uselees man ever to live in Luanshya. I always get upset when people outside lya give him kudos! We who are luanshya residents know and appreciate the works Chungu is doing quietly. Kambwili messed up the golf club by enchroaching and keep cattle there, he closes the club and applies for golf land (knowing that Chungu is the golf patron); the lya rail line is gone as scrap by CK, he pushes for the closure of BU coz the club was making noise, then he brings a noise live band in the same vicinity that is a nuisance to the residents and more so to the hospital. He gets all contracts from chinese mine. All this mess he is doing is in Chungu’s constituency. Can the President cage this chancer whose mouth and gamption are not always connected.
In 2016 people will have to be encouraged to think very hard before casting their votes. Voting on tribal lines and under the double influence of euphoria and free beer will mess up the counrty further. 2016 should be the year that Zambia turns its back on non-presidential and non-ministerial material like the bunch that is ruling Zambia now. There are only two years to 2016 and the time to start reflecting and to embark on a sensitisation programme is now.
