Nkana striker Festus Mbewe has joined South African Premier Soccer
League side Golden Arrows.
Nkana secretary Kenny Mwansa confirmed on Tuesday that Mbewe has
joined Arrows on a six months loan deal.
Mwansa confirmed said in the contract there was an option to negotiate
for a permanent move for the player after the loan deal expires.
“Yes he is going for six months, it’s a loan, with an option to
negotiate further after the loan ends,” Mwansa said.
Mbewe was a key member of the Nkana squad that won the 2013 FAZ Super
League title.
The striker scored 10 goals for Kalampa last season.
Mbewe joined Nkana from Zesco United at the beginning of the 2013 season.
Football is luck sometimes, surely Mbewe goes to SA when pipo like Numba Mumamba finished their careers in Zambia. Even Nyambe Mulenga has never played abroad with so many good players i can mention…. Anyway gudu laki aMbewe, ur yet to prove your proficiency at goal bamboo
Its just like marketing a product,if you have a very good Agent who is pro-active then it works out for you!!!!!
Personality also matters alot. Festus looks like a nice guy, who can work with anybody. Ronald Sate-Sate looks to be rude-wopusa. Sometimes its better to listen/hear a voice of a player, than watching the way they score. “Stupidity is charged after a verbal conversation”.
Look at Chintu Kampamba, a gentleman, now he is a coach of coaches.
Festus had a fairly attractive display in 2013. Scored key goals for Chipolopolo (at both COSAFA and CECAFA) and also for Kalampa. However, too much PHD in ZED. Some people choose to see his weaknesses than his strengths. Similarly, most negative people choose to ignore all the goals he scored which won crucial games e.g Nkana wouldnt have won the title if you remove Festus goals. Fact
Congrats my boy but work hard there so that you can get a permanent place.
Great news, mbichana-mbichana (step by step) chilombe (young man)! Keep working hard and never look back.
I thought that playing in the CAF champions league would give him an opportunity to market himself to attract even better clubs.
anyway work very hard and good luck.
Well done HERVE RENARD for connecting yet another promising (Though iliterate -Mbewe) to play for Golden arrows the team you loved most and even now they still consult u. Hands of HR
