President Michael Sata has today opened a Facebook account meant to enable him share the glimpse of his thoughts and ideas on issues relating to the country.

On his first post, the head of state said the following:

“My friends on facebook, Today, I have decided to network and connect with you by means of this platform. This page will enable you to have a glimpse of my thoughts and ideas on various issues relating to our great nation. Lets interact!

President Sata’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations George Chellah announced the launch of the official presidential Facebook page hosted. The url is

    • Good move Chella! You are an excellent chess player. Amid calls to ban Face book where ZWD and other online papers can easily be accessed in Zambia you haved hatched a master plan to avoid Face book being banned for fear of a back clash from the youth by opening Sata’s Face Book.

      On the number of likes , I would like to caution PF zealots that those likes may not be from Zambians but from some Asians who work in ICT companies in Asia, who are paid $0.25 for each like they put on some one’s Face Book. Celebrities are buying them and what would prevent Chella from doing the same to please his f.o.olish master.

      On this one Ka Chella I give you thumbs up. By the way excellent job for leaking the constitution as well. You are working as an investigative journalist as instructed.

  13. Its a real shame that Sata has surrounded himself with immature advisers like young George Chella who lack shrewdness and practical knowledge. Chella is too inexperienced for that role send him on a 12 month course in Communication & Media Studies.

Happy easther your excellency and the entire Zambia,kindly look into our plea and other more than 99 members of staff under ZP state house who have not been given salary increment since september 2013,I’m one of the affected pipo and every month we photocopy our payslips and submit them to the “INCOMPETENT SIAMUJULU”as a salary end user but nothing seem to change.we have enter month 9 without salary increment!Siamujulu is under ZP State house stores dept and one wonders why and how he qualifies to be a salary end user without accountacy/PMEC qualification/experience!so many anomalise on pipos payslips when him(siamujulu)is enjoying the benefits,kindly clean up the mess before the worse goes to the worst,this is unacceptable and disgusting!some kapokolas are decampaigning indirectly,act…
