Shepolopolo coach Albert Kachinga has announced that Zambia will
regroup next week to begin preparations for the 2014 FIFA Under-17
Women’s World Cup to be held in Costa Rica next March.
Kachinga is expected to name a 36-man provisional squad that will
enter camp on Monday.
“We need to prepare well for the World Cup,” he told ZNBC on Tuesday.
“We need to lift the girls a, they can bring glory to the country,”
Kachinga added.
Zambia have been drawn against hosts Costa Rica, Italy and Venezuela in Group A.
Kachinga’s side will face Italy in their opening game on March 15 in
San Jose before playing against Venezuela three days later.
Shepolopolo will wrap up their preliminary round fixtures against
Costa Rica on March 22.
