Club-less Chipolopolo skipper Christopher Katongo has been included in
the 24-member local squad that will set up camp in Lusaka next week.
FAZ has announced that Zambia coach Patrice Beaumelle called 24 local
players that will go into camp in Lusaka this Sunday.
Association spokesperson Erick Mwanza said the local squad will have a
week-long training camp to prepare for future assignments.
Mwanza released the list of players to the media on Thursday morning.
“The 2014 calendar is packed and effectively gets underway in March
with the first international FIFA match day. We are well geared for
another year of hard work,” he said.
Mwanza added: “To that effect, coach Beaumelle has called 24 players
for a camp starting on Sunday. This camp will not have players from
Nkana and Zesco because we have exempted them so that they can focus
on progressing in CAF inter-club championships.”

Good for Chris Katongo, what about Jet Li his brother? I cant see his name. After that impressive performance at CECAFA,Bermuda is not serious.
No Sate Sate?!?!?!?
Sorry to say, but its about time Chris paved way for others. My opinion!
Hmmmmm, Has Evans Kangwa been active of late?!
Yes.
Lousy Team going nowhere esp with Beaumelle as coach.
Even finished players! There are no players in zambia?
@ Black thought, Sate Sate is not there because Nkana as well as Zesco United Players are busy taking part in continental football this weekend.
Chris Katongo is still active and is training with green Buffalos.
Guys we need Chris for motivation. The guy still has something to offer, don’t right him off.
Chris is just 30 years not too old, many England players are older than that.
30 years yapa regy
Chris 30? in truth or isha mu bola? be serious genital men!
FAZ needs another technocrat in its operations. And this expert called a psychologist will not only be providing services at FAZ but also in various footballing institutions across the country. It appears few Zambian football players appreciate the gift God has placed in them. A psychologist may have a positive impact on this sport or not. We can however, only know this by employing one so that assessments and evaluations can be conducted later on. It is worth a try.
