Share

Nkana’s 2014 CAF Champions League campaign comes under test on Saturday when they face Uganda’s Kampala City Council in the first round, first leg tie in Kitwe.

The two teams clash heads at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe hoping to ehance their chances of advancing to the second round.

This will be the first time Nkana and KCCA will be meeting since 1992 when the Zambian champions eliminated the Kampala outfit from the CAF club competition by 6-1 on aggregate.

KCCA have proved that they should not be under rated after eliminating El Merreikh of Sudan 3-2 on aggregate in the preliminary round of this year’s Champions League.

On the other hand, Nkana saw off Mbabane Swallows of Swaziland from the competition via a 5-4 win over two legs.

KCCA are welcoming back ex-Cranes midfielder Steven Bengo who missed the preliminary round due to injury.

Nkana are also welcoming back dependable striker Ronald Kampamba after missing their local assignment last weekend due to a shoulder injury.
