The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) says it is still investigating Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili for abuse authority of office.
Mr. Kambwili is alleged to have ordered officials in his ministry to place adverts in two daily newspapers using public funds congratulating him for containing a Degree from Copperstone University.
ACC Public Relations officer Timothy Moono has told Qfm News in an interview that the case is still active.
Mr. Moono explains that the commission is still gathering information pertaining to the case involving the Minister.
Mr. Moono adds that the commission is committed to ensuring that all cases brought before it are thoroughly investigated.
How much was involved kanshi?
It does not really matter how much was involved… what is important is that the deed was done!

I think sometimes it does matter how much is involved especially that cases such as this one is more of a “lack of sound judgement” on the part of Kambwili than setting out to defraud or gain any evident percunary advantage – beyond notifying his Bosses (the electorate) that I now have a degree so vote for me as the next president. We have to remember that it is public funds that is being used even for the investigations and the likely cost of it will by far out cost the monies involved if you take into account the salaries, time spent on it, the allowances to be claimed . More so doing it through the press as if there is anything worth the media. The ACC would do better if they followed up the Auditor General’s reports in pursuing corruption and abuse of office.
Mr. Moono, how many places do you need to go to gather the info? If a case like this one takes ages, what about the more sophisticated ones, like cross boarder cases, how long would they take you?

by now, he has cleared the info they are trying to “gather.” If he ordered someone to make those payments, what will stop him from ordering them to say that they did that under no ones compulsion? After all, he is still in that all office
He will only be arrested when PF loses in 2016. as for now the above is a waste of time and money.
Masumba was arrested and jailed ( out on bail) for his fraud, two other MPs are Ronald Chitotela and Rogers Mwewa deputy Ministers of Labour and Agriculture respectively have been dropped arrested, their cases are still in court, Mpombo was deputy ambassador to Nigeria arrested and jailed, though out on bail. He is about to fall off the grid. Looks like times are catching up; whereas in the past there would be all sorts of high jumps and jolts, this time it appears the wheels are turning. What we need to address is this loophole called bail. We can’t have convicts running around in the name of appeal…
Running around indeed on appeal and escaping incarceration. A real pain in the ass, a loop hole deliberately put there so rich convicts can escape spending time behind bars.
mr chishimba kambwili will only be investigated thoroughly when he leaves govt,as for now its a waste of time and resources.remember what is happening to GBM,he was cleared by the ACC when he was in good books with the power that be.But when he fell out of favour,investigations where started over the case he was cleared by the ACC.Anyway we are now getting used to these kind of behaviour by the PF govt and 2016 is just around the corner and the choice is yours,either to continue with these mess or stop it.

Kabimba has been eliminating his potential “Presidential rivals” since last year. I guess in the end the Presidential race will only leave two candidates:

(2) Wynter Kabimba

Vinabwela mochedwa! Insansa shinya ubulanda! What about his degree? I was with him at school in Luanshya and I got mine 21 years ago. I even forget that I have it especially that this government has keeps on off-loading graduates onto the streets. Those days we got jobs before we completed our studies.
