The case in which opposition United Party for National Development leader Hakainde Hichilema is appearing in court for publishing false news today failed to take place as lawyers representing the opposition leader complained of harassment by the police.

The Lawyers complained of being mistreated by Police saying police indiscriminately beat up whoever was within the range of their short buttons.

Defence Lawyer Sakwiba Sikota told the Court that in his 31 years of practice he has never been harassed in such a manner at the Court premises.

Another defence Lawyer Martha Mushipe said the defence team was mentally affected the actions of the police hence could not proceed with the case.

The Lawyers were blocked from entering the Court for about 30 minutes.

Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba was supposed to be the witness but was unable to do so as Magistrate Alidah Chulu has adjourned the matter to 15th May 2014.

And Some cadres were beaten with short buttons and harassed by Police as they wanted to enter the Court premises.

Meanwhile cadres from the ruling PF and opposition UPND had a near punch-up after the matter was adjourned.

The near punch-up started as PF cadres started pushing their UPND counterparts.

Insults were hurled at each other within the Court premises with Police watching and seemingly inept to act on the violent behavior of the two opposing camps.

Daniel Kalemba a PF Councillor in Lusaka then told Lusaka Province PF Chairperson Geofrey Chumbwe and PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba that they should have been told earlier so as to give them more time mobilize and arm themselves.

  1. What were the PF cadres doing at HH’s trial? They should be arrested for attempting to cause disturbance of public peace. This was not a PF political rally. Why go there when our leaders refuse to debate in a peaceful setup? Why? ZP, do something!

    • I dread to think of a country where my young children are coming from school and encounter this PamaFi violence, they will be chopped up like in Seira Leone. It starts slowly when you have retarded criminals like chi Chuumbwe all of a sudden becoming important. I hate belonging to the same country as a all PF panga maniacs. Fusek, these people make me puke.

    • ha,ha,ha,ha…….So the Group led by the witch Kabimba was over shadowed by UNPD surports. This means Kabimba the louser has lost again. He can never win anything. And he is the one who has interests in Sudan…….shamee

    • The pathetic pf government will leave government in so much pain. Its violent and corrupt members like Kabimba, Chuumbwe and the crew will suffer so much pain before fading off from Zambian soil. Watch this space.

    • So if the PF cadres are allegedly “militia trained in Sudan” then where are the UPND cadres trained? Afghanistan? Otherwise how could they resist PF cadres? Make life easier HH, don’t start to lie unless you know how to finish the lie

  2. Is anybody in-charge of the country as sanity appears to have deteriorated beyond redemption?

  3. WTF were fima PF cadres doing there kanshi? And in the words of Ice Cube, ‘Fcuk the police!’

  4. This is what happens when the country is under the direction of a violent, senile and quarter capacitated dictator. Zambia must be the only country where opposition leaders are in and out of court every month. Primitive leadership breeds primitive behaviour.

  5. Sata and PF are violent by nature. They are agitators and they have no plan for the future of Zambia. They are in it to fill their deep pockets. Zambia is a lost cause, get out of the country while you still can.

  6. PF and their cadres are destroying this country. It seems Summer all he wants is disorder.

  7. ZP is indeed pro opposition. they are daily making the ruling party unpopular by their actions. whoever has ears and eyes in this PF government, heed my advice i am not charging for it but repercussions will soon follow.

  8. WHY DID THE SO-CALLED PARKED FOOLS (PF) CADRES GO THERE? THIS ONLY COMFIRMS HH’s REMARKS THAT PF HAS A BATCH OF MILITIA

  9. Do not carry cadres to court cases period! This applies to both the ruling party as well as opposition parties.

  10. Countrymen and women, I wish to strongly condemn this increasingly unZambian tendancy of interparty conflicts which threaten to undo the very fabric of our long cherished peace and democracy. We only have one Zambia!!! Please, let us cherish it and its peace irrespective of our personal political affliations!!!

  11. WHY DID THE SO-CALLED PARCKED FOOLS (PF) CADRES GO THERE???? THIS ONLY COMFIRMS HH’s REMARKS THAT THE DEVIL PF PARTY HAS PRIVATE ARMY TRAINED IN SUDAN.MA RUBBISH BAAATI!!!!!!!!!

  12. Indeed I would like to agree with most of the comments above. Security situation in our country is fast deteriorating. At this pace, 2016 will be trully bloody if we will not have a fully fledged civil war. The Police should be given autonomy to act professionally. Presently, the cadres seem to be in charge of security affairs of our country. Sometimes it is a curse not to use our brains correctly.

  13. Those are tricks from Lawers they know that they are loosing so they have to find ways of excuse

  14. I believe both these parties have reached their sale-by date. It is time to start over in this country. Who can bring about a dynamic, responsible party, devoid of cadreism based on mediocrity and intimidation, and able to deliver even 45% of their promises? I believe hell will freeze over before we see that, right? I hope not.

  15. There is no one in state house …..Tell you grand ma to open FACEBOOK may be that useless and boastiful chap called chella will cheat you something/// COMPLETELY NOTHING PA ZED

the useless ministers have burried their heads in the sand save for gbm and lubinda who are not in govenment.

  16. MY ZAMBIA GAVE ITSELF TO SATAN IN 2011.WE CAN REDEEM OURSELVES IN 2016 BUT I DOUBT WE WILL BE ABLE TO.WE THINK IN OUR STOMARCHS AND NOT HEADS.

  17. when pf cadres misbehave pf feels like its working cos they think they are getting strong and yet they are decampaining themseleves viva upnd viva hh

  18. I have made up my mind to vote HH into power come rain come sunshine. HH will bring sanity in the country. I apeal to ABZ, PP, NAREP & other parties to disolve to join HH & Upnd for a better Zambia for all Zambians.

    • I agree, opposition should ensure another 20 years for PF by uniting behind HH

    • But HH cannot win an election because he is a tribalist and racist put together so comrade you are dreaming.

  19. HH’s teeth are far much better than amabwamba yabasungu mufiyompa…what are you talking about….wee hule iwe…! You are now getting on nerves……?
