Chilumba slams Power’s critics

Share

Tennant Chilumba has slammed critics ascertains that league leaders Power Dynamos are running out of steam after a fiery start to the 2014 FAZ Super Division season.

Power have now gone two games without a win after picking up two straight away draws after a flying start that saw them win all their opening five games.

Despite Power’s recent blip, they remain three points ahead of the table on 17 points.

Chilumba insisted that the draw’s against third placed Zesco United where they finished 0-0 and second from bottom Roan United where they rallied to finish 1-1 were both fair results against teams that come with their own obvious dynamics after six rounds of games played.

“For me people who are talking about those things are just being negative in football,” Chilumba said.

“I give credit to the boys they have been working hard and I am happy with those two draw games; Zesco are behind us on the table and we managed to get a point away from home and they wanted to get to the top of the table.

“And if you look at Roan they were wounded and wanted to get out of the bottom so we managed to get a draw.”

  1. HANG ON PLEASE TENANT! YOU AS A COACH SHOULD SURELY NOT TERM DRAWS AS “FAIR” RESULTS UNLESS IF YOU PLANNED FOR THOSE RESULTS. A COACH AND EVERY COACH MUST ALWAYS AIM AT WINNING EVERY GAME AND NOT AT GETTING WHAT YOU TERM “FAIR” RESULT. TO ME IT WOULD APPEAR AS THOUGH YOU INSTRUCTED YOUR BOYS TO GO THERE NOT TO GET A WIN BUT A FAIR RESULT – CHOICE OF WORDS PLEASE TENANT. THE SAME APPLIES TO THE NKANA COACH MR. MWALE MY COUSIN. HOW ON EARTH DO YOU SAY, “PATIENCE PAYS”? WAS HE SURE? YOU PLAN WHEN TO SCORE GOALS AND WHEN NOT? COME ON GUYS! JUST ADMIT WHEN YOU HAVE PROBLEMS. I AM A POWER SUPPORTER AND SO IS MOSES KATUMBI DESPITE OWNING TUPOUSA (TP) MAZEMBE! TENANT, DO WE THEN EXPECT A FAIR RESULT IN THE NET GAME OR A WIN? LET US KNOW WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOUR CHARGES THIS WEEKEND.

    • Kalumba is right. Tenant you played 2 games with teams having two different objectives, Zesco to go on top and Roan to get out of the bottom. Are you telling us that you will only be winning against teams which are in the middle of the log? Just admit that things are becoming tough. Start rotating players so that you can be changing tactics depending on opponents. You have a very rich collection of players at ADS, why not come up with even 3 teams which would be playing different styles of football, such that when you know you will be meeting a physical opponent, you play a physical team etc. Start benching some players and changing tactics, Power has now become a very predictable table, which plays the same kind of football over and over again.

  2. My advice to our coach Tenant Chilumba is not to respond to such critics, otherwise he will just end up losing his focus. Go Power go!

    • Good advice, football is played on the pitch and not in the press so Tenant pleeaaase concentrate on sharpening our beloved powerful power dynamos, we the supporters of POWER DYNAMOS will continue cheering our team. Aluta continua.

  3. Just maintain current form , get more focused aim at getting maximum points if the worst comes to the worst split the points. Take each game as it comes, every game is a different ball game. Keep it up coach.
