Struggling Roan United continued with their poor start to the 2014 FAZ Super League season when they lost 3-0 to Green Eagles at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe on Saturday.
This was Roan’s third straight defeat that has seen them drop into the bottom two of the sixteen-team league table.
Eagles took a well deserved 20th minute lead when Adamson Mulawo tapped in from close range to beat keeper Evans Mwewa.
The Choma outfit took a 2-0 lead into the half time break when Mathews Tembo scored a 44th minute goal.
Two minutes after the restart Mwila Mwelwa put the scores beyond Roan’s reach when he capitalised on a goal-mouth scramble to shake the net with a low shot.
Eagles have now increased their tally to 16 points from 13 matches as they bounced back from last weekends 1-0 loss at National Assembly in Lusaka.
On the other hand, Roan remain stuck in 15th place with nine points from 13 points.
