Egyptian club makes Felix Katongo swoop

Share

Green Buffaloes and Zambia midfielder Felix Katongo has reportedly joined Egyptian club Al Ittihad.

Katongo has been in Egypt on trials since Tuesday.

According SuperSport, Katongo has signed a three-year deal.

“The negotiations with Katongo didn’t take a long time. He accepted our terms and we signed the contracts. He had heard about our club and wanted to wear our kit, which made the negotiations easy,” Al Ittihad board member Hesham Hassan told SuperSport.com.

Katongo is enjoying a return to good form since last season that saw him earn a Zambia recall in November for Chipolopolo’s 2013 Cecafa Cup outing in Kenya where he inspired the team to a third place finish.
