Nkana rises to third in Confed Cup Group B

Nkana have moved into third place in Group B in the CAF Confederation Cup at the end of match day four in their pool.

Nkana’s status was confirmed after Al Ahly of Egypt beat Sewe Sport of Cote d’ivoire 1-0 in Cairo late on Saturday night courtesy of a Walid Soliman 4th minute penalty.

The result means that Sewe now drop to bottom on three points, one less than Nkana.

Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel stay second on five points despite losing 4-3 to Nkana earlier on Saturday afternoon in Kitwe.

Al Ahly lead Group B on eight points and they visit Nkana on August 9 in a penultimate group stage fixture.
