The ruling Patriotic Front-PF in Kapiri Mposhi district has condemned the request by opposition political parties and civil society organizations to meet President Michael Sata at State House.

Kapiri Mposhi District PF Chairman Smart Mwila said the request was in bad faith and offensive to the dignity of the office of the President and the ruling party and should therefore not be entertained.
Mr. Mwila accused opposition political parties of wishing the President bad luck and wanting to gain political mileage from the matter.

“They are preaching bad omen against the President but at the same time they want to see him … we want to ask through our party leadership at National level not to allow this to happen because their thinking is negative”, Mr. Mwila said.

Mr. Mwila said this on Saturday during the district fundraising dinner for Kapiri Mposhi District PF Executive Committee which was officiated by PF Deputy Secretary General Bridget Atanga.

There have been calls from the opposition political parties and some civil society organizations for government to allow them meet the head of state at State House to ascertain his health.

But Mr. Mwila said the demands were ill-timed and maintained that President Sata was well and working as he should.

“The calls for the opposition to meet the President are in bad faith and should not be condoned because the President is working as he should in line with the mandate that the Zambian people gave to him and the PF”, Mr. Mwila said.

Mr. Mwila asked God to bless President Sata more and allow him to complete his development agenda mandated to him by the people of Zambia.

  1. We long moved passed the ‘missing tree snake story’. We have been told that the defence chiefs are running the country.

At least they wont swear-in a bunch of their wives’ relatives like a certain reptile spent the last 3 years doing.

    Thanks.

    • The reason is that Sata has reached high pick dementia and just rubmle mambos? Asabaila fye and he forgets easily due to global amnesia sometimes he calls wife mulamu

    • @Jay Jay kekeke didn’t know you can be fun too. Ati “calling his wife mulamu”… Even though I have respect to the sick, but that is hilarious.

    • Uko!
They are scared of their own “ghosts in a shell” fears. Atleast 2016 is fast approaching and they will not hide Sata anymore more, therefore, truth shall prevail.

    • While every citizen has a right to request to meet the president, the request from the opposition MPs is loaded with ill-intent and malice.

Their request can be likened to the devil requesting to meet God….. its just impossible!! or to put it like we were taught in grade one,…. it cant!!

    • Sata can run but can’t hide. Soon when Parliament opens, he has to be wheeled out to parliament. If he goes missing, we will all confirm what we all know. That the cobra is in terminal decline. These are natural processes so ba PF just accept the fact that at 70-something, MCS will never be action man again

  2. “…….Mr. Mwila accused opposition political parties of wishing the President bad luck and wanting to gain political mileage from the matter……”

So, visiting the President has now become a ‘wish of bad luck on him’???

    • Yes its wishing bad lucky. Our request and intention is in bad faith. I withdrew from calling on visits. People who should be visiting a sick president Sata are:
      – Catholic bishops, but Sata turned against the church way back. He even went to campaign for a by-election on a burial day of Cardinal Mazombwe. Lesa ni Malyotola.
      – Traditional Chiefs, especially his Bemba chiefs, unfortunately he turned against them over humble Sosala. Lesa ni Malyotola.
And what kind of atmosphere when visitors are welcomed by Kabimba? I wouldn’t visit him.
But still I ask the church to pray for him, and send him weekly holy communion, if he eats it or not it is his own sin.

    • Nt any one must meet the president. Some people espeaciall in upnd are couriers of extremely diabolical contangeous viruses which can harm our strong and vibrant president.

  3. President Sata is NOT a village Headman in Mpika, but he is a Republican President answerable to ALL the Zambian people irrespective of their political inclinations. Just as no part of Zambia has ever placed restrictions on the movement of Sata. State House belongs to Tax payers and non-Tax payers, and therefore must be accessible by all Zambians.

    BA pF MWADENA

  4. I don’t see anything wrong with the request. What are you afraid of or what what are you trying to hide hiding?

  5. Sata and his admirers (those parasites who depend on him for a livelihood} now say sorry to Zambians for the LIES they have peddled for weeks that the president is well, fit and busy working. Let them come out clean on this one. The president is unwell.

  6. Kwena this Government and it’s leader has got to be the most useless ever. How can an elected president be quiet for such a long time and people are still defending him. He is not a ****kking king. If he wants to do his own thing with nobody to answer too let him be Chitimukulu so he can preside over his people without being questioned. We need a responsive leader who is able to articulate policies to the masses verbally and able to answer questions that are concerning citizens. This guy has been shielded for long enough, if he is unwell let him come out in the open and state so if not let him interact with the masses and not hide in state house. We don’t need “conveyor belts” for him to outline even the simplest objectives. He campaigned so hard to just to hide in statehouse??

  7. Ba Mwila twapapata take your dirty thinking to your self.So when you visit sick poeple it means giving bad luke ba pf plz stop hiding same thing which is non even to 3yrs old child kows that bamudala balwele kutwebe fye tapali nefwakufisa apa.

  8. personalizing the presidency…its only in this country. Are we really good people or cowards? This idio…t called Mwila insulting Zambians….these pf chaps have really taken Zambians for a ride.

    • PF, always thinking up side down. Why refusing people to visit the sick to pray and wish him quick recovery. You used to kneel down before us when pleading for votes and now we are been denied to see our leader. Very strange indeed.

  9. The dumbing down of Zambia has really taken off with alarming speed. The president has gone AWOL for 1 and half months and this is acceptable!?

  10. May the Minister bring aboard the president to the public. Did we vote for him to hide into the State House? This is joking and its like there is something which this government is afraid of to show the president. Mind you God is God and no one can hide a public leader and for how long?
