Kondwani Mtonga to join Indian club

Chipolopolo and Zesco United midfielder Kondwani Mtonga is set to join Indian club Shilong Lajong F.C.

Zesco media officer Katebe Chengo revealed that Lajong has been courting Mtonga since April.

“Our team vice-captain Kondwani Mtonga is set to join Indian side Shilong on a six month loan after negotiations that started in April,” she said on Friday.

And Zesco have signed Tanzania international striker Juma Liuzio,17, from Mutibwa Sugar on a permanent deal.

The Ndola side has further extended Togolese defender Mathias Emmanuel’s loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns for another six months.

Meanwhile, Zesco have recalled defender Nyambe Mulenga from Power Dynamos.

The club has also loaned striker Patrick Kabamba to Nchanga Rangers, forward Chileshe Kabwe to Indeni, defender Charles Siyingwa to Red Arrows, Chakwa Lungu to Lime Hotspurs, defender Perry Mubanga to Konkola Mine Police and Reuben Chansa to Konkola Blades.

  2. No! He is going to play cricket with Sachin Tendulcar (one of the world’s great)! They (Indians need an advisor- like Wimbledon winner Andy Murray also has great Athetics sprinter- Linford Christie on the coaching staff! So too will be Kondwani Mtonga! He might even become the national cricket team captain!

  4. What a ***? Poor decision Iwe monkey! There’s no soccer in India. Indians don’t know how to kick a ball apart from Kamasutra.. Unless you are going to do the kamasutra then go. India is rubbish.
