Collins Mbesuma capped his Zambia recall with a goal on Wednesday to hand his new club Mpumalanga Black Aces their first PSL win of the season.
Mbesuma came off the bench in the 65th minute to find the target two minutes later in Black Aces’ 2-1 away win over SuperSport United.
The Zambia striker moved to Black Aces this season on a free transfer after he was released by Orlando Pirates.
Elsewhere in PSL mid-week action on Wednesday, Zambia number one Kennedy Mweene had a forgettable night on Wednesday in Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 home loss in their Gauteng derby against Orlando Pirates.
Mweene, who was playing his second game this season, was stunned by two chipped goal’s from Kermit Erasmus and a blistering volley from Lehlohonolo Majoro.
In Durban, Bornwell Mwape’s PSL debut didn’t go according to plan at Amazulu who fell 2-0 at home against Bloemfontein Celtic.
Mwape came on in the 60th minute while Davies Nkausu remains sidelined at Celtic.
On Tuesday, Zambia captain Christopher Katongo was substituted in the 46th minute in Bidvest wits 3-1 away defeat at Ajax Cape Town.
Clifford Mulenga was on the bench for Ajax.
And defender Joseph Musonda made his debut for new club Polokwane City on Tuesday and played the 90 minutes in their 3-2 away loss to Moroka Swallows in Johannesburg.
