The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) says it is not intimidated with the dismissal of Wynter Kabimba as party Secretary General, maintaining that the UPND will no doubt take over office in 2016.

UPND Deputy Secretary General Kuchunga Simusamba has told QFM News in an interview that even though there seems to be jubilation by some people that the PF has started re-organizing its structures in readiness for the 2016 polls, the UPND remains ready for 2016.

Mr. Simusamba states that whether the PF restructures its structures further, the UPND will not be distracted in any way.

Mr. Simusamba has strongly opposed to suggestions that the UPND may feel the impact of the PF’s steps to start weeding out bad elements in its structures saying the party has already done its ground work and is ready for anything.

He adds that such suggestions are coming from PF sympathizers who are fully aware of the damage the UPND will do the PF in 2016.

    • UPND must also weed out impediments like their incompetent and ineffectual nondescript leader if they hope to turn round their free falling, topsy-turvy political fortunes.

Akainde ichilemais the reason you cant attract progressive political thinkers and strategists.

Why are you afraid to talk such bold steps when you know they will sure benefit the party?

Is it because you fear to lose out on financial sponsorship as akainde banks rolls most of your party programes from his laundered Zambian loot?

which is bigger, your party or akainde? why are you stuck with an accomplished loser with no idea how to run a political party? Dora siliya is even much better.

PF has shown that the party and the nation are bigger and paramount than any one particular individual.

    • UPND will continue to grow from strength to strength because of its humble , competent leader with massive organisational skills in the name of HH.

Simusamba has just said the truth which PF minions hate to hear. The ground work has already been done, and come 2016, PF will be replacesd by UPND.The firing of Kabimba has actually strengthened UPND and helped it to remain intact and focussed to win the presidential by election.

The purging of non Bemba leaders from PF confirms what some us have been saying that PF is a tribal party. Only idoits would think otherwise. PF is imploding and soon all non bembas will be silenced and forced to work against the PF to bring it down.

I know some PF minions wish UPND to go through the PF confusion. But that will never happen because UPND…

    • Simusamba is truly useless! What has this got to do with UPND? If this is the caliber of HH’s advisors then the man is doomed to another defeat in 2016.

  1. I can see even the all opposition parties have shaken due to the dismissal of Wynter Kabimba. They have a fear that pf is not a democratic party for it can make what ever decision they fill to take place. My advise to pf is don’t keep Edgar Lungu on the position of secretary general & justice minister.Give that vacancy to Given Lubinda for he is the most capable to handle the problems of the opposition parties & ruling party at large.

    Thanks

  2. Pf very undemocratic too much by one man. He can appoint you today & fire you tomorrow even from his sick bed he doesn’t need to consult anyone.

  3. iwe chi simusamba naimwe fi UPND when are going to stop dreaming ,ur party UPND will never win elections as long as ur HH remains a flag bearer full stop.

  4. UPND continue cheating yourselves as usual. In all the elections since 2001 thats what you say….you will win HH WILL WIN. MY DEAR UPND HEAR THE TRUTH. EVEN IN 2016 YOU WILL LOSE. Amen

    • Did you want to say ‘Truth hurts’? Bembas, your level of dullness is quite amazing. The problem is you spend most of your time chasing monkeys and catching vinkubala.

  5. @ Lisa

Problem is Lubinda is a compromised politician. People are quite skeptical regarding his ability to keep a secret.

  6. The PF must realize that firing Wynter is a double edged sword. While in the short run it would appear as a unifying factor for PF considering the divisiveness Wynter wrought, in the long run it disadvantages the party as it also lays bare the fact that PF is a Bemba party led by dyed in the wool tribalists who have no space for other tribes. This must be made a rallying cry by other tribes opposed to this Bemba hegemony. There is no need to be apologetic. The Bembas have started a tribal war and must be taken on by the rest of Zambia collectively.

  7. @chitutuma
Lubinda is capable enough to handle secretary general issues and to keep secrets as well. The only problem I have seen is bemba leaders are intimidating none bembas.Like this chi animal Kambwili,Miles Sampa & GBM ,The chaps are very uncivilized and undemocratic.they are the waste tribalists.

  8. I don’t get it where UPND thinks they can win the 2016 general election. I don’t see them closer even all the opposition are to get themselves in a pact. Please get rid of that under 5.
    Thanks

  9. PF IS ALREADY FINISHED
HH AND UPND ARE ALREADY POSITIONED TO MAKE THE NEXT GOVERNMENT. WE ARE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT PF FIRING KABIMBA. KABIMBA HAS ALREADY DIVIDED PF AND PF HAS GOT TO TWO CAMPS WHICH WILL NEVER RECOVER.
VIVA UPND. VIVA HH. THE PEOLE HAVE ALREADY ALLIGNED THEMSELVES WITH HH AND UPND. WE AREADY TO MAKE A GOOD GOVERNMENT NOT PF THAT FORMED GOVERNMENT WITHOUT PLANS. NO PROPER POLICIES. NO DIRECTION BUT AS UPND AND HH WE HAVE A GOOD COLLECTIONS OF GOOD LEADERS AND INTELLECTAULS TO MOVE THE COUNTRY FORWARD.

    • UPND failed to win in 2008 when MMD was seemingly divided and ended up amassing only 19% total share of votes from a previous share of 25 %. HH is not a popular leader which explains why he only got 45,000 in Lusaka during the recent general election of 2011 unlike his predecessor Anderson Mazoka who amassed a whooping 79,000 votes in lusaka in 2001 when the total electorate was less by 1.2 million people. UPND can’t win a national election.

  10. pf supporters have very short memories how many times pipo said sata will never rule this country to remind you, all former presidents called sata not presidential material but what came of sata in 2011 dont cheat yourselves pipo are no longer interested in your lies tribal politics you wait and see 2016 that is when you will believe the people of zambia that they all not pf members all of them, even the ammount of money dissed out in 2011 by rb could not buy mmd votes wait till then.
