Zambia Under-17 made one step forward towards making their CAF U17 Cup debut when they beat Uganda 2-0 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka on Friday.
Patson Daka put Zambia ahead in the 27th minute while midfielder Edwin Chipile added the hosts final goal in the 68th minute.
Meanwhile, the two sides meet in the final leg on September 27 in Kampala.
Winner over both legs in the final third round will qualify to next years finals Niger that will be held from February 15 to March 1.
