Vice president Guy Scott has asked the people of Zambia to give the Patriotic Front (PF) government 10 years more to develop the country further.

Speaking when he officiated at the Chikwela Makuumbi tradition ceremony of the Soli people of Chongwe District Dr. Scot observed that the PF government has scored more significant infrastructure development but that more has to be done.

And Dr. Scott has called for calm among farmers as government is aware of the delay of their payments of the maize the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) bought from them.

He has assured the farmers that their dues will be paid soon.

And Senior Chieftainess Nkomeshya Mukamambo the second of the Soli people has hailed government for taking development to her chiefdom.

Chieftainess Nkomeshya has urged other traditional leaders to support the government of the day.

    • I think what this joker with racists tendencies called Guy Scott meant was ten (10) months. PF are a one term party. The govt that Scott belongs to, has the worst record in the history of Zambia

    • 10 year + 77 yrs old = 87 yrs old will be Mr. Sata. 87 with that illness, katwishi, what is Guy Scott thinking, that he can be President?
If PF gave us a presidential candidate, yes, but they have only the sick Sata.

  1. Either Zambians are the most docile or most civilised in Africa. I would would like to think that we are civilised and waiting for the right opportunity to remove the most reckless government of our time so far. PF government are only intrested in clinging on to power to line their own pockets and intimidation. 10 more yrs of these guys will take us back to the dark ages and potentially force us to be refugees in our own country. They hold the worst record of public resource management. We have seen enough of your comedy. You have actually overstayed your term, if this was in a different country your government would have been kicked out long time ago. Zambia can not afford even 1 more year of these guys. They have more than doubled our debt in their first term imagine 10 more Yrs?

  2. Such politics should not be entertained if we want to see this country develop. We don’t need parties ruling for more than 2 terms. A consistent change of leaders is what will make them work their butts of to leave a legacy of their own

  3. Talk of try and error government. PF is really taking it to the max when it comes to both trying and erring. We need people who know what they are doing. We are tired of your cheap talk as you have proven over and over to be the worst incompetent renegades Zambia has ever put into office.

  4. …Obama is always on Teli giving weekly/monthly/yearly status quo and direction of his nation so does Cameron, Putin, Zuma and all the 192 head of states except Zambia. We are just as a battalion guided by lieutenants without a commander…..
There are so many itching/burning issues which need only the head of state to comment….the scribers’ note books have run out of sheets with questions only for the head of state….another 10yrs of this situation… Dr Scott…????…come on….

  5. Guy Scott, together with ailing dictator Sata, will never stop mocking Zambians. It’s sheer madness to let the corrupt, violent and tribal PF to rule for 10 years. In fact,Sata is very lucky to be in State House up to now; Sata and his useless cabinet should not be allowed to remain in office at the end of their first term.

  6. zambians ussually hate to be told the truth and wud rather be content with unreliable statistics and perceptions. The baseline fact is that there is no strong parties that can defeat Pf.Some of the opposition parties are one man whose evn close family members fail to support. Even UPND commands no following and its leader lacks charisma to win a massive following b4 2016 besides being a Tonga party.MMD is also facing leadership turmoil.Hence pf wl still carry the day

  7. @CNN PF have it on record that they actually rigged the last elections and forcing people to follow you or hero worship is not a sign of strength but oppression. Unless you start accepting that things are not quite as they should be, we run the risk of encouraging autocratic leadership in Zambia. Forcing by-elections and bribing the electorate with development for votes is not democratic. We need to learn to call a spade a spade and not give excuses for shoddiness. PF have been terrible, even for it’s own die hard supporters. MMD became arrogant but at at least they managed to turn around years of decay by UNIP. PF is only floating because of some of the good gains by MMD. We need change either within PF itself otherwise give someone else a chance.

  8. @cnn-Just put it that you don’t support UPND because its being led by a Tonga your foot!Hope you understand the concept “charisma”.You can led a horse to some water but you cannot force it to drink some water “get a life”. Moreover PF’s invisible unprecedented development must speak for itself in order for people to give them 10years more. There’s nothing wrong for one single party to rule for many terms so long it is prudent & fostering visible economic development countrywide & is not; tribal, reckless & undemocratic-BUT NOT this mockery one zambia one nation under SCOTT AWEEEEEEEEE TRY IT KU-MUCHINGA.PF Has really angered the other tribes & provinces!

  9. It will be folly for Zambians to allow another phase of PF confusion, torture of the innocent, nepotism, deception, state corruption and mismanagement of state financial coffers that are being directed at servicing the health of PF politicians at the expense of the majority of Zambians. Enough is enough. May the PF Rest In Peace or perhaps in perpetual agony after 2016.

PF infested Zambia in the same way Ebola has ravaged some West African countries.
