Central Province Minister Obvious Mwaliteta says the PF has become so popular ahead of the 2016 general election such that even he can win the presidency.
Mr. Mwaliteta said the PF has no credible opposition as the current opposition is in disarray.
He said Zambians will only start entertaining the idea of removing the PF in 2026.
He said President Sata will not need to campaign in 2016 as the developmental programmes he has initiated are already campaigning for him.
“2016 is a walk over, PF is so popular such that even myself if I decided to stand on PF, I could win the presidency,” Mr Mwaliteta bragged.
“PF is loved by all and if given a chance I could become President Mwaliteta here in Zambia with little or no campaigning.”
“We have done very well. President will just sit and relax in 2016 because he won’t need to campaign, his good works will campaign for him,” he said.
Mr Mwaliteta said the massive infrastructure works across all the provinces have impressed even staunch members of the opposition.
“Everyone is now saying President Sata should have become President much earlier and Zambia would have changed by now. He is a performer. Just look at the roads and this justifies the decision to transfer the RDA to State House, the results are showing,” he said.
The man is right. What with the results in Mangango, Mufumbwe, Zambezi West, Livingstone Central, where most people thought PF was going to lose.
The opposition should really take Hon. Mwaliteta seriously.
Mwaliteta is simply saying Sata is not important or popular. He will win just because of PF.
But the fact is that PF is popular because of Sata, with no Sata in 2016 the PF will be in disarray.

Mwaliteta obviously can only win at violence. Imaginary hope after 3 weeks ago, Mwaliteta “cried like a baby” because of PFs intra party violence whilst eating Munkombwe vowed not to quit PF as he sees the endless inconsistencies in PF cadres.
When Munkombwe quits as I doubt, it will mean violence has reduced abit in PF but that can never happen. The King Cobra built PF on violence, “Chawama Chain and Panga Massacre” choruses by Judge Ngoma unleashed.
Obviously Mwaliteta is just imagining that he can win elections, only violence, yes PF can do.

Sometimes partisan comments are sickening: how can you agree with such louse sentiments from Obvious when he has already blown so much of our money to win such mere parliamentary byes, if the PF was that popular as he claims? Why should the whole govt machinery camp in such remote places, at such a great cost, if they did not need to campaign, or if the opposition was in disaray? Has the PF got what they term ‘run for their (our) money, in addition to the other documented malpractices? Too much noise, please, the president is sick and resting in the UK!

Zambia’s current external debt stands at K4.7 billion.In 3yrs the PF has over borrowed and who is going to pay for all these debts?Mwaliteta should not take for granted the support that the Zambian people have given the PF.
Please read and update your knowledge on “debt sustainability”. You will see that given its GDP of about K100 bn, Zambia can borrow even up to K35bn without much worry

The Patriotic Front is where it is today not because of discipline and unity but because of President Sata’s personal popularity. And this popularity is personal, which means it cannot be easily inherited.Corruption is a very big factor in the divisions we are seeing in the Patriotic Front today. PF may think building roads everywhere is a guarantee for them winning any future election. They are not building these roads with their own money; these roads are not a donation from them to the Zambian people. These are projects that are being paid for by the Zambian people themselves. It is not anybody’s money but people’s money paying for these roads. Moreover, Chikwanda himself has made it very clear to all of us that there is a lot of irresistible corruption in the road construction sector.
