Members of the PF Central Committee have converged at Acting President Guy Scott’s farm in State Lodge, East of Lusaka for an emergency meeting.
The members resolved to confront Dr Scott after he declined to attend an earlier meeting held at Sports and Youth Minister Chishimba Kambwili house on Brentwood Drive in Lusaka.
The Central Committee members had started gathering around 07 Hours and waited until 10 Hours for Dr Scott who was nowhere to seen.
It was at this point that the members including Justice and Defence Minister Edgar Lungu resolved to drive to Dr Scott’s farm who agreed to meet them.
On arrival some cabinet ministers namely Fackson Shamenda and Emmanuel Chenda believed to be members of the cartel were seen driving out? Dr Scott’s farm.
Mr Chenda however u-turned and joined his colleagues for the meeting.
Guy Scott has betrayed the entire nation. Not just the PF.

There are two problems here: the first is that the timing of this dismissal is totally wrong and secondly the pf constitution is at fault concerning the concentration of power after the death of the party president..it’ll be interesting to see what the outcome will be from this meeting: are we going to see Lungu reinstated and thereby Scott losing face or are we going to see Lungu remain fired: confirming that the acting president has totally miss read the norms and values to do with respect accorded to mourning and handling of the deceased ‘business’ who is still above ground??! Scott is zambian but it takes the proper transfer of values and norms from one generation to another to truly input a culture in an individual…the man messed up!

Eventually Guy Scott will just resign as Acting President because he is beginning to see that even though the Cartel has the presidency, in effect, the numbers in the central committee and the masses of foot soldiers in PF are actually with Lungu et al.
As some point, he will simply call it quits and retire with dignity then face whatever Fred Mmembe has against him knowing that as long as the power will be in Lungu’s hands, he will be protected even though those matters may be as embarrassing as the ‘Bana Nono’ saga or worse
My advice to Dr Guy L Scott – please keep well-away of the so-called “cartel”. They are very unpopular and may drag your good name down the mud. Perform your duties as acting President, diligently and impartially, so that you remain forever respected in the minds of your fellow Zambians. You have my total support as acting President and do not allow yourself to be used to settle other people’s debts – “do not be a part-taker in other people’s sins”.
Zambians, this just gives us the Opportunity to correct our Mistake of voting for PF. By-Election is around the corner. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON’T VOTE FOR THESE DULL PEOPLE CALL PF. THEY WILL MESS OUR COUNTRY AND LEGACY OF PEACE. Let them be fighting while the opposition are re Grouping. This party of Ganja smokers is finished. That’s it.
Guy Scott has nothing to lose. It’s the fat Kambwili and all other confused PF cadres. Good that this is happening. Makes all Zambians know them better. NO VOTE FOR PF. THEY ARE USELESS.

Do not be deluded. HH does not even want to win this election. He has 29 MPs in Parliament. Even if he won, he would be impeached after a vote of confidence is called. His only position if in the unlikely event he won, would be to dissolve Parliament and call a general election, that is risky, PF would win again. This election will be decided in the PF Central Committee, that is it!
I think I have being misunderstood. The system has all the power and the wealth which you are lucking (It will take years to develop a system to challenge the current). But if you fool the system into thinking all is well the system will share some of the wealth and power. Once that happens then and only then you will be in a position to challenge the system (e.g China). But for now it is wise to play along (SA). The world has changed no one is playing by the rules.
Zambia wins against M’membe, Wynter and the group. Clearly Scott didn’t learn from Sata, you don’t mess with someone who has the backing of the people. Lungu for president.

You frustrate Scott and PF is finished; who else will campain for the party in the abscence of Michael (MHSRIP) and Guy? The muzungu man has been a great image builder to the patriotic front. Apart from Lubinda and Jean Kapata, the likes of GBM, Kambwili, EL himself may campain but will not win you an election. Where ever GBM has gone to campain during the paliamentary by- elections PF have lost. He was campain manager in Muchinga constituency and Chipata central and honourable Kunda and Phiri won respectively. Recently they (the same “A team”)campained vigorously in Solwezi and we lost to HH’s UPND. So I too agree with Mushota it’s even better to give it to HH for sanity’s sake because people like Kambwili are Kabovas and will not change unless they get spiritually born again.
Scott is trying to save a bad situation here – all these “jockeying” for power are in fact effectively just working to remove PF. The mind boggles that they can have such a lack of perspective and integrity. You only have 80 days! And people say “no but Scott must resign”. What good will that do?
