Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi hopes last Sunday’s emphatic away win over National Assembly will fuel them to victory in this Saturday’s Barclays Cup final clash against Zesco United.
Nkana beat Assembly 6-0 away at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka in their final FAZ Super Division match of the 2014 season.
The victory came just five days before the outgoing FAZ Super Division champions meet their successors Zesco in the Barclays Cup final at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on November 30.
“I am happy with the way the boys have played. We hope to continue with this performance in the Barclays Cup final,” Chambeshi said.
Meanwhile, this will be Nkana and Zesco’s debut meeting in the seven year old Cup tournament.
And Zesco have an edge over Nkana heading into the Barclays Cup final after recording back-to-back league victories over the latter winning 1-0 away in Kitwe and 3-0 at home in Ndola.
That is history we are in CUP game as KALAMPA we can not just let our Championship title to go just like that with BARCLAYS CUP on top.
Moreover no one knows what found in MTN/FAZ LEAGUE unless one ask KALUSHA but in BARCLAYS CUP will be fighting for K250,000.00 & the loser will go away with K150,000.00
Iam happy for sister club the 9 TIMES CHAMPION to return into SUPER LEAGUE after 9 yrs in division one North.
